Abigail's POV

I took a deep breath and tried to calm my nerves as I stepped onto the set. Today was the day I had to film the last scene of the film, an intense scene with Luka, my male co-star. I had been dreading it since the day I signed up for this movie. I had rehearsed the scene a million times in my head, but now that it was actually happening, I was starting to feel uneasy.

I took my position and tried to focus on the scene, but my mind kept drifting to Adrien. I missed him terribly and wished he was here to comfort me. As the director yelled "Action," Luka leaned in to kiss me, and I couldn't help but feel a wave of anxiety wash over me.

Cut!

I took a deep breath and walked off set. I needed to talk to Adrien. I quickly pulled out my phone and called him.

"Hey, Abigail, is everything okay?" Adrien's voice came through the phone.

"No, Adrien, everything's not okay. I just had to shoot an intense scene with Luka, and I'm feeling really uncomfortable about it."

"I'm sorry to hear that, Abigail. Do you want me to come to the set and talk to you about it?"

"Yes, please. That would be really great," I said, feeling relieved.

Adrien arrived on set a few minutes later, and we sat down to talk. I told him how I was feeling, and he listened patiently. He held my hand and reassured me that everything was going to be okay. His touch was soothing, and I felt my anxiety start to fade away.

"Abigail, you're a fantastic actress, and I have no doubt that you'll do great in this scene. But remember, it's just acting. It's not real. And I'm here for you, no matter what."

I looked up at him, feeling grateful. "Thank you, Adrien. I really appreciate it."

He smiled at me. "Anything for you."

I leaned in to kiss him, and for a moment, everything else faded away. Adrien's kiss was soft and gentle, and it made me feel like nothing else mattered. I knew that I was lucky to have him in my life, and I was grateful for every moment that we spent together.

As we pulled away from each other, I knew that I was ready to face the scene with Luka. Adrien had given me the courage and support that I needed, and I knew that I could do this. I walked back onto the set, feeling more confident than ever before. The director yelled "Action," and I took my position, ready to give the performance of a lifetime.

*******

I nervously fidgeted with my dress as I stood in front of my parents and older brother in the living room. I took a deep breath and gathered my courage to speak. "Mom, Dad, Ben, I have something important to tell you."

My parents looked up from their books while Ben paused his video game. They all looked at me with questioning eyes. "What is it, Abigail?" My dad asked.

I hesitated for a moment before blurting out, "I'm dating Adrien."

There was a moment of silence as my family processed the information. Then my brother spoke up, "Adrien as in Adrien Agreste? Your best friend?"

I nodded, "Yes, that Adrien."

My dad looked at me sternly, "You know we trust you and we know Adrien is a good boy, but we still need to meet him properly."

My mom nodded in agreement, "Yes, and we need to make sure he's good enough for our little girl."

I rolled my eyes, "He's been my friend for years, you've met him countless times!"

My brother chimed in, "But now he's your boyfriend, it's different. We need to make sure he knows how much you mean to us and that he'll treat you right."

I sighed, knowing there was no arguing with my family when they got overprotective. "Fine, I'll ask Adrien if he's free to come over for dinner this weekend."

My family smiled in approval, happy to have their way. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at their overprotectiveness. But deep down, I was grateful to have such a loving and caring family.

*******

As I walked into Abigail's family home, I couldn't help but feel nervous. I had met her parents and older brother before, but this was the first time we were having a family dinner together as me as her boyfriend. Abigail had warned me that her dad and brother could be a bit intimidating, so I was mentally preparing myself for the worst.

As we sat down at the dinner table, I could feel her dad's eyes on me, sizing me up. Liam, who was sitting across from me, had a smirk on his face.

"So Adrien, Abigail tells us you two are dating," her dad said, breaking the awkward silence.

I nodded, "Yes, sir. We've been seeing each other for a few months now."

"Interesting," he replied, taking a sip of his drink. "And what are your intentions with my daughter?"

I could feel my cheeks turn red with embarrassment. "Uh, well, sir, I care about Abigail a lot. She's my best friend and I want to make her happy."

Liam chimed in, "Yeah, but what happens if you hurt her?"

"I won't," I said confidently, trying to hide my nervousness.

Abigail's dad gave me a stern look. "You better not. Because if you do, you'll have to answer to me."

I gulped, feeling even more nervous. This was not how I expected this dinner to go.

But as the dinner went on, I started to feel more comfortable around her family. We laughed and joked, and her dad even shared some embarrassing stories about Abigail as a kid. By the end of the night, I realized that they were just trying to protect their daughter and make sure that I was the right guy for her.

As we said our goodbyes and headed back to Abigail's place, she leaned in and whispered, "They liked you."

I smiled, feeling relieved. "I'm glad."

"Although my dad did say he's keeping his eye on you," she joked.

I laughed, "I'll make sure to behave then."

Overall, while the dinner was intimidating at first, I realized that Abigail's family just wanted the best for her. And I was grateful that they accepted me into their home and allowed me to be a part of their family.

Hi guys, I hope you liked it. Please vote and comment. Thank you.

Bye Dreamers
