In the bustling city of Paris, two of the world's most famous and sought-after individuals cross paths. Abigail...
As I watched my classmates board the private plane, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. This was my parents' idea, after all. They wanted to make sure our school trip to LA was as comfortable as possible.
I stood by the entrance, welcoming everyone and making sure they were comfortable. I saw Adrien, Alya, and Nino walk in, and I felt my heart race a little faster. It was hard not to get nervous around Adrien, especially since we had just confessed our feelings to each other.
"Hey, Abigail! This is so cool!" Alya said, looking around the luxurious interior of the plane.
"I know, right?" I said, grinning. "My parents wanted to make sure we had a comfortable trip."
Nino and Adrien both nodded in agreement, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for their understanding.
As everyone settled in, I couldn't help but think about the trip ahead of us. We were going back to LA, the city I had left behind. I wondered how I would feel being back in a place that held so many memories for me.
But for now, I was excited to share this experience with my classmates and show them all the amazing things LA had to offer.
*******
As soon as we stepped out of the plane, the warm LA air hit me like a wave. I took a deep breath, feeling the familiar smell of the city I once called home. My classmates gathered around me, thanking me for arranging such a luxurious hotel for our stay.

"This hotel is amazing, Abigail!" Alya exclaimed.
"I can't believe we get to stay here, it looks more like a palace" Nino added.
But as I turned to face Chloe and Marinette, I could see the contempt on their faces.
"Of course, the rich snob had to show off," Chloe sneered.
"Why are you wasting your money like this, Abigail?" Marinette added. "It's not like we need to stay in a five-star hotel."
I tried to ignore their comments and plastered a smile on my face. "Don't worry about it, guys. I just wanted us to have a comfortable stay."
But their words stung more than I cared to admit. It wasn't easy being one of the only two wealthy kids in a group of middle-class students. I always felt like I had to downplay my wealth to fit in.
As we checked in to our rooms, I could hear Chloe and Marinette whispering behind me.
"I bet she's never stayed in anything less than a five-star hotel," Chloe said.
"Ugh, I can't stand how she flaunts her money," Marinette added.
I took a deep breath and reminded myself that their opinions didn't matter. I was proud of my family's success, and I wasn't going to apologize for it. I just wished that they could see beyond my family's wealth and appreciate me for who I was.
