"Queen Coral! We must speak alone" I heard Blister hiss.
"In a minute your highness let me deal with my children" Mother said. "Children go back to your room and play while I speak with Queen Blister. Got it?"
We both nodded and mother unhooked Anemones harness, we lifted off and dove into the water. I opened my eyes and looked at the beauty of the Deep Palace. It was my home, my life, my everything. One thing I hated was mother was very protective of me and I just wanted to live my life.
"Follow me Lapis" Anemone flashed in aquatic. She grabbed my talon and we swam down towards the palace.
The sea lanterns were at full brightness and the Deep Palace was as beautiful as ever. It was the middle of the summer so the ocean was warm and very soothing. The palace was always bursting with life and dragons swimming in every direction. Anemone led me into our room and she let go of my talon.
"So what do you need squid brain?" I flashed accidentally.
"EXCUSE ME?" Anemone flashed at full brightness.
"What?" I flashed. "What did I say?"
"Never mind. But I wanted to give you this before we headed to the beach." Anemone flashed digging through her bed. She pulled out a small pearl necklace with a diamond in the center. She handed it to me and I put it around my neck"Here take this. I want you to have it."
We swam out of the Deep Palace and up towards the Summer Palace. I flew out of the water and shot up like an arrow. I opened my wings wide and smiled. This was where I wanted to be for my whole life. But mother was to strict and barely let me do anything by myself. I have a very large family. I have 30 brothers but my favorite is Turtle. I have 2 sisters, Anemone, Tsunami, and I have 2 half sisters who are part IceWing: Skua and Ice.
"Lapis! Anemone! Please come here" I heard my mother shout. I landed next to mother and so did Anemone. "Blister wants to speak with you Lapis."
"Me?" I asked. Mother nodded.
"Yes young child come" Blister hissed.
Blister pulled me close to her warm body and practically dragged me aside. She covered me with her large wings and hissed again.
"So young child let me tell you something. Your half sisters are from the enemy tribe. You must kill them or turn them in" Blister snarled softly.
"I would never!" I whispered. Blister slapped me across the face with her wing and I dropped to the floor clutching my face.
"AH!" I yelped my vision suddenly going blurry. "MOMMY!"
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY CHILD!" Mother roared slashing her tail back and forth. She ran over to me and cradled me in her wings. The last thing I remembered before I passed out was Mother rushed me to the medic.
