The prison door opened slowly and two yellow eyes started to come in. The body started to form but at that moment I realized who the figure was. It was Queen Burn.
"So this is the hybrid you wanted me to see?" She hissed, pushing Skua into the wall. Her limp body hit the wall with a sharp crack.
"Yes your majesty." one of the SkyWing guards said. "But there seems to be another dragonet in here."
The SkyWing shot their talon into the darkness and managed to grab a hold of my tail. I hissed and roared as the guard flung my body to the ground.
"Who are you?!" Burn demanded.
"P-Princess Lapis of the SeaWings..." I stuttered.
"Why are you here?" she asked.
"I came..to rescue...my half sister...Skua."
"Lock the door and I want this hybrid to fight in the arena tomorrow at dawn." Burn hissed slamming the door shut.
My body collapsed onto the floor and I winced in pain. I lifted my head and turned it to see Skua. There was blood everywhere and I was pretty sure she was dead but I didn't give up hope. I dragged my body towards her and laid my head on her.
"Skua...if...your...still alive...flash your scales.." I whispered. And a moment later her scales lit up. "I will...fight...for...you."
I fell asleep on her cold and stiff body and waited for the next day to come.

The next morning I woke up frantically. Today was the day I was going to convince the guard to let me fight for Skua.
"Morning hybrid and other SeaWing." a SkyWing guard grunted, opening the door.
"I want to fight for my sister. Just today." I immediately said.
"Alright but you may not survive," he said. He clamped a metal clamp around my neck with a chain attached to it.
He led me through the giant doors and out into the arena. The sun was blinding as I stepped out of the shadows. The SkyWings and other visitors were cheering and chanting. I looked across the arena and saw a giant IceWing with scars across her face. The SkyWing dropped my chain and left the arena.
"SKYWINGS AND MUDWINGS! VISITING SANDWINGS! WELCOME TO THE ARENA! ON THE LEFT SIDE WE HAVE AMUR THE ICEWING! AND ON THE RIGHT WE HAVE...one moment please...PRINCESS LAPIS FROM THE SEAWINGS!!" a SkyWing yelled from up above. I stepped forward into the sun.
"TALONS READY! FIRE READY!! BEGIN!!" And then time stopped. The IceWing shot forward and tried to lunge at me.
Before he could grab my small form I quickly jumped out of the way, Amur hissed and opened his mouth. Small ice crystals formed around him and he blasted the ice towards me. I quickly dodged but the icicles hit my tail. My tail started to freeze and it hurt really bad.
"JUST LET ME WIN DRAGONET!" Amur roared angrily.
"I JUST WANNA GO HOME!" I yelled back.
Amur shot another blast of frost breath and it hit me dead on. The icicles formed across my body and I yelped in pain. When the ice hit my scales it froze onto it. I curled up into a small ball and cried. But I realized if I didn't win I would die. I decided to use my animus magic. I got up and roared.
"I enchant this IceWing to die when I touch it," I said.
I walked up to the IceWing and put my small talon onto him. And just like that he exploded into dust. My whole body was freezing and I felt like dying but I didn't give up.
"PRINCESS LAPIS OF THE SEAWINGS HAS WON!" the announcer roared.
The crowd went wild! I slowly dragged myself back to the prison and the SkyWing guard escorted me to my cell. I collapsed onto the stone floor and groaned in agony.
"Are...you...okay?" Skua managed to mumble.
"Yeah....brrrrr...just really ....c-c-cold" I stuttered. It had been a long day and I was very tired so I decided to take a nap.

I was rudely awakened by one of the SkyWing guards stabbing me with their spears. My body was unfrozen but my body was aching. I still couldn't believe I won the match.
"The queen would like to see you so I am escorting you to the throne room." the SkyWing said. "Now follow me!"
I quickly jumped to my talons and followed the grumpy SkyWing. He led me up the stairs and through a door. And there before me was Queen Scarlet.
