I woke up to the sound of the whistling birds and the soft sound of the waves crashing against the sand. I didn't want to wake up but I had to help nurse my mother back to health and I needed to find my other siblings. I got up and nuzzled my mother awake.
"Hm? What do you need Lapis?" she asked.
"I'm going to go fly around the Summer Palace to see if there's any survivors." I said.
"Alright but please be safe." she said.
I nodded and flew up and out of the forest. The sun was starting to rise and I could smell the salty odor coming from the ocean. I flew into the Summer Palace and noticed that there were a lot of dead dragons floating in the water, mostly SkyWings but some were SeaWings. I flew around looking for any of the survivors and then I spotted Skua floating in the water.
"SKUA!" I yelled. I splashed into the water and swam up to Skua.
I shook her but she didn't move so instead I flipped her onto her back and saw she had a deep bloody scratch down her chest. I almost puked but I needed to keep it together. I picked her up and flew with all my might back to the island where my mother was. When all of a sudden I was grabbed by strong talons. I looked up and saw a large SkyWing holding me. The SkyWings must not of left! Now what am I going to do? I roared and tried to bite the SkyWing. He dropped me into the water but grabbed Skua.
"SKUA NO!!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. I watched as the SkyWing flew away with my sister. I was way too tired and my body ached so I didn't chase after them. Instead I swam back to the island and took some time to rest. I'll save Skua when I wake up.
