I woke up and jumped to my feet. I usually wasn't a morning dragon but I felt great! I finally get to see my mom again! I bounded off towards the sea and stopped. i started to hear a bird tweet very loud. I looked over my shoulder and saw a group of seabird attacking a baby turtle. I ran over and roared, scaring the birds away.
"Hey it's okay little turtle!" I whispered. I picked it up in my small talons and smiled. "You shall be my new pet! I'll name you Bliple!"
"Lapis what are you doing?" Skua asked bounding towards me.
"I found a baby turtle! I'm keeping her as my pet and I'm naming her Bliple!" I replied.
"Let's go back to the forest where you last saw mother." Skua said. I pressed Bliple to my chest and flew back to the forest.
"Mother!" I roared loudly.
"LAPIS?!" I heard a voice that sounded like mother roar. I dove down into the forest where I heard the roar and barrel rolled into mother.
"MAMA!" I screamed in excitement.
"Thank the moons your alive! Oh I see that Skua is with you! Hi Skua!" mother said.
"Yep! I missed you so mu-" I said before I was cut off by a MudWing grabbing my neck and pushing it to the ground.
I let out a shriek of pain but it was quickly muffled by the pressure of the MudWing holding me down.
"YOU LET MY SISTER GO!" Skua yelled as she charged into the MudWing. the MudWing was knocked off balance and fell onto the ground.
I gasped for air and stood up. I could see just beyond the horizon a troop of MudWings flying closer. I turned around to face the MudWing and saw the Skua has put him in a choke lock and was shaking him back and fourth.
"WHO ARE YOU!" she demanded.
"Reed!" he said letting out a wheeze. Skua let go of him and he flopped to the ground.
"Like Clay's brother?" she asked. He nodded and in fear flew back to his troop.
"Well that was weird." I said still catching my breath. I picked up Bliple who was hiding under a tree root and pressed her to my chest.
"Let's go back to the deep palace." Mother said getting up and spreading her wings.
"Good idea." Skua added.
So we flew past and out of the forest and we flew back to home. The place I belonged. Thank the moons my family is safe. I just hope my family is alive at the Deep Palace. I let the thoughts make their way through my head and I flew through the sunset and home.
