RAIDEN
The idea of having a romantic day and night with Frankie a few days ago was a great idea and while we were having a great time (despite the rain) we both had also agreed in making sure to make enough time to plan the wedding.
Something I have not yet found enough courage to do yet, is tell Frankie that it is not just the fact we both have been busy as to why we haven't been able to plan as much as we wanted, but also because I am afraid.
Now, there are many reasons as to why I would be afraid to marry her and those are mostly obvious reasons but the one that hits me the most is the fact that there have been several occasions where she has hinted around in me possibly retiring and honestly, I could never do that.
With all that said, I feel as though she has some doubts of her own in wanting to continue in the lifestyle I have brought onto her since the beginning.
Now she has not brought or hinted anything since but I still have that dount in the back of my mind.
I know I need to address it with her and had planned to that day but after dinner and continuing ever since to go over wedding plans, I am starting to slowly believing that maybe she does not feel that way any more.
While I continue wallowing in my thoughts a little more as I sit here in my office alone and taking breaks in between some things for a couple of transactions with companies I have recently invested in, I heard a knock at the door.
Once they walked inside, I saw it was Markus and he did not look like what he was about to tell me was going to be good.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"Several things. A few of the guys you had go and look for O'Reilly the other day, well they found him. He was found faced down in a bed with the back of his head bludgeoned to death, along with some random girl, beside him who met the same fate as his." Markus states.
"Are you sure it was him?" I asked.
"Yes. His wife and child were found hours later in some old shitty cabin not too far from the city of New York." He finished.
There are many gruesome and grotesque things that I am capable of but I am NOT for killing children. It angers me beyond words and sickens me to the point I want to throw up each time.
"Does anybody know who could have done that?" I asked.
"Not yet. But there's more. Although we had found O'Reilly, the problem still remains with, well, you know who. His whereabouts are still unknown." Markus explains.
"I swear. Either my men are getting complacent and lazy or this guy really is good at hiding and staying below the radar if I can't even find him." I tell him.
I pound on the desk in anger while standing up in frustration wanting to punch something as I walked over to the window that overlooked the backyard and the pool.
"We'll find him, boss. Don't worry." He reassures me.
"Hopefully before he finds us." I tell him.
We both shared a moment of silence before he left me alone to once again sit and ponder.
Things seem to be getting more dangerous every day. The world is changing. People are changing.
There are many things that I have been having to think about recently and I hope that soon we can take care of the situation before shit hits the fan.
Between Frankie and I there have not been any secrets and I do tell her everything whenever it comes to the business aspect but then there are certain things I just can never bring myself in telling her.
Two hours pass by and I finally finish signing a few papers and putting some together for the few meetings I have coming up. Not to mention the wedding stuff.
In fact, we are going to be meeting up with a wedding planner later on today.
Frankie met the wedding planner from work when the lady had brought in her son for a haircut and has been coming back since the day the barbershop had opened.
We have been bouncing the idea of getting one for a while and the other day, Frankie had thought about how much easier it may be if we have our inputs of course on everything, but still have a planner help us with the reservations at places and the other things we know we won't have time to do in between. Plus, the lady has a reputation for being one of the best in the city.
I honestly never imagined that planning a wedding would have as many details as it has recently shown me and not that I thought that it would be a walk in the park or nothing but still. And thank God for wedding planners.
Next chapter will be posting soon! :)
