FRANKIE

Today the barbershop was busier than ever. Mainly because it was Friday and people were going out to clubs and parties.

Helena has been real sweet and not just a great best friend as well as a barber and Assistant Manager, but she has been doing great overall in general at making sure to cover me while Raiden and I were doing the wedding plans.

Thankfully, I finally had made up my mind and decided to hire a wedding planner who has been coming in here with her son ever since we opened.

Raiden was picking me up any moment and before he arrived I had wanted to finish up a few things that dealt with the payroll and also a surprise I have been planning for Markus and Helena for helping take care of things.

I miss talking with Hallie but after everything went down before we moved here, she stated she wanted to not get involved with this kind of a lifestyle and we have not spoken to each other since.

Helena is great and although I do feel like her and I have become like sisters to one another and quicker than either of us expected, I still just miss Hallie occasionally.

Overall, I am very happy and feel lucky to have her as my Maid-Of-Honor.

Helena knocked and came walking into the office.

"Hey, Raiden just pulled up." Helena tells me after knocking on the door and opening the door up.

"Oh. Thanks." I replied while scrambling to grab my coat and my purse.

I hurried and closed the laptop before placing it into my bag as well so that I could figure out payroll later tonight before going to sleep.

"Slow down girl. You still have plenty of time." Helena states.

"I know, it's just, I didn't get much sleep last night." I tell her.

"Nightmares again?" She asks.

"Yeah." I replied.

"You know that you're safe from all that bullshit." She tries reminding me.

I let out a sigh of relief when she says that because of the way she tells me just always calms and reassures me every time. I swear, I have no idea in what I would do without her.

"Thanks again." I tell her as I begin walking towards the door to head out.

While I pass her I stop and turn towards her then hand her an envelope.

"What's this?" She asked me.

"That is something that I would like for both you and Markus to open up together." I smiled.

"Okay....?" She replied with a little bit of curiousity in her voice.

"Trust me, you'll like it." I tell her.

"Alright." She chuckled as we started walking out through the salon and I got into the car, giving Raiden a kiss.

"Hey beautiful." He smiled.

"Hello my sexy man! You ready to go meet the wedding planner?" I asked.

"Of course." He replied while taking off.

The lady's office was located half an hour away and after we arrived and stepped inside, we were greeted almost right away by whom I could only assume was her assistant.

"Hello there! You must be Raiden and Frankie." The girl introduced herself while we shook hands.

"Nice to meet you as well." I replied.

"Follow me to Ms. Ava Robinson's office." She told us as she looked Raiden up and down.

Normally I don't get real jealous but the moment I see somebody looking at my man like she wants to have sex with him right in front of me, yeah, THAT'S when I get upset.

However, I feel maybe Raiden sensed how I was feelingnand noticed that the girl was checking him out because he went from holding my hand to wrapping his arm around my waist and pulled me closer while we headed towards Ava's office.

After the assistant knocked first on the door before opening it up and having us follow her to sit in the two chairs across from Ava who was on the phone while sitting behind her desk, Raiden and I remained seated and waited as Ava was wrapping up her call.

Just a couple of moments later, she hung up.

"Sorry about that." She states.

"It's alright. You're very popular." I chuckled a little.

"Now, let us get all the boring stuff over with, such as how much I charge and finding out what you both want. Then we will get down to the more fun stuff." She exclaimed.

"Sounds good." Raiden replied.

We spent the next couple of hours going over everything before Raiden and I had signed the contract and he paid her cash right then and there.

I wasn't too sure about him doing that because I always think in the back of my head that it will give people the idea of what he does for a living. But then of course the reality hits me as a reminder that everybody already knows what the hell he does and who he is.

My head has been scrambled for a while now and I think I am just needing a break or something and also happens to be the reason of course as to why we hired her.

This is going to be fun!
