The New Boss

EPILOGUE: 4 Years Later.....

RAIDEN

Months was how long it took for us all to physically recover from that night. Mentally and emotionally, I knew it would take longer. Nobody's lives would ever be the same again but sometimes in life you need something drastic to happen in order to begin a new journey stronger and wiser.

One of the first things we had done was rush Frankie to the hospital along with the guys and luckily the doctor checked and made sure that the baby was alright.

Just hearing the doctor tell us our unborn child would be okay and was never harmed during any altercation from what we had endured not too long prior, was great news.

Frankie was alright and sustained injuries of course that would take time to heal as most of us, including her, were going to have some decent scars but overall would fine in the end.

Unfortunately, O'Connell did not make it though as was the same for some of my guys and his. However, because of him, we were able to survive.

Frankie and I got married, five months after she gave birth to our healthy and beautiful baby girl, whose middle name was Hayze and has had me wrapped around her finger since the moment I held her.

Frankie was the great mother we all knew she would be along with being the best wife I could have ever asked for.

Frankie still owns the barbershop but also has managed to become the new boss of the 'family' business. Technically I am still the boss but since she decided she wanted to be in charge of more things with some of the aspects of it, I had agreed to give her the title of being the 'new boss,' to make her feel as important while at the same time, still being able to keep my status and reputation.

Close to one year after Frankie and I had married, Helena became a co-owner for the barbershop before months later, marrying Markus.

Helena happens to be pregnant with twins while Frankie is pregnant also at the same time and I'm telling you, being around a four year old and two pregnant women all at once, can be exhausting sometimes.

Lately I have felt worn out than I think I have ever been in my entire life. Between running back and forth doing errands for Frankie since she is on bed rest and the doctor stated how much he felt she needed to relax and not do very much, so whenever my men were out doing errands for the business, including Markus, I would grab things. Especially with her cravings in foods. I swear, this time around, she had a bigger variety than she had with our daughter.

Though at the same time, I do not mind and agreed with the doctor that she needed to not do much so being as tired as I have been has been a good thing. Not to mention whenever I return home from being out with clients, our little one always greets me with a smile that can hook you instantly, followed immediately with a tight hug that will make your heart melt and just her saying 'daddy,' gets me every time.

Today was no different as I walked into the house and picked her up before placing a kiss on her cheek - making her giggle.

"I missed you!" She told me.

"I missed you too Pumpkin." I replied. "I am hungwry." She told me with her cute sweet voice.

"Aww. Why don't we order some food tonight?" I asked her.

"YAY!" She replied in excitement as she clapped her hands happily.

"Okay." I laughed. "Let's ask mommy."

We began walking into the living room and do not see her. Then we heard the toilet flushing and the moment she had come out, she began talking to herself before even noticing I was there.

"My gosh, I hate having to pee so much. Please buddy, give me a break!" She tells her stomach while rubbing it as she waddled in her cute little way.

Just hearing her say that made my day and causes me to break out into laughter.

"You alright baby?" I asked her.

"Oh just fine. Your son won't stop kicking me and moving around every hour and then makes me have to go pee so many times, I have already had to change my leggings twice today." She tells me.

"Aww. I'm sorry, love." I tell her while walking up towards her and giving her a kiss.

"It's alright. So how was your day?" She asks.

"It was okay. Just the usual." I tell her before giving her another kiss then setting our daughter down who begins going towards the couch to watch some cartoons.

"Good. Also, Markus and Helena went out to dinner and several of the guys went out also." She smiled before walking into the kitchen and I stopped her right away.

"Where do you think you're going?" I asked her.

"I was going to make dinner. I had some morning sickness earlier than took a long nap with our daughter over there before we had some lunch but I did not eat much, so I am starving." She says.

"You're not cooking. I'm ordering some food and tonight we can watch a movie." I tell her.

"Okie dokie." She says before she winces and holds her stomach and back.

"You okay?" I asked concerned.

"Yeah, just he gets excited whenever he hears your voice and just loves kicking me at the same time." She tells me.

I kneel down to kiss her stomach and can feel him kicking.

"Hey there little man, I know you are excited and I am too, but you need to be good to your mommy. Don't be hurting her or else." I tell him before kissing her beautiful belly and rubbing it a little as I stand up.

We next both stand there with our arms wrapped around each other, kissing one another before looking into each other's eyes for a few moments.

"How did I get so lucky?" I asked her.

"I had thought about the same thing, so many times until I just accepted it and realized that fate isn't always cruel." She smiles at me again as I return a smile as well.

"I love you." I tell her.

"I love you more." She replies before we order some food then join our daughter on the couch, eating as we watch a princess movie and realize towards the end while looking at my family that I have found my happily ever after too.
