Lucy's pov

"What was that about?" Ella tone asks from in front of me. Ruby leaving the room so suddenly had brought a lot of unwanted attention towards me.

I sigh, "we just had a fall out"

"Did you ask her about why she's gotten so skinny?" Leah asks and a few others nod their head, also having noticed how small the girl had become.

"Yeah, she didn't want to hear it"

We all sit in silence for a few minutes before Alex Greenwood speaks up. "I'm going to go and check on her, I think it's best if I go and not you luce"

"Alright," I reply and Alex leaves the room.

As we all begin to engage in another conversation, I hear the shout of Alex and a loud thud. Quickly exiting the room along with most the other girls, I see Ruby lying flat on the floor and Alex crouched down beside her.

"What's happened?" Lauren hemp asked

"I just came outside and asked if she was alright, then when she tried to stand up she collapsed.

"Shit," I say. "Someone get a wet towel, now!" I practically shout. At this point I am sat cross legged on the floor with rubys head in my lap. "I'm gonna take her to the hospital, someone tell sarina what's happened," I finally speak up after a few seconds.

With the help of some of the girls, we got ruby in the car and to the hospital.

———————————————————————————

We weren't allowed in the same room as ruby whilst they were running tests. Me, Leah, Alex, Georgia, Jordan, Kiera and Ellie roebuck had all come to the hospital with me and were comforting me in the waiting room.

"Family of Ruby Moore," a man with a dark beard and deep voice says from in front of us.

"That's us," Leah speaks up for me. "Is she ok?"

"I need to ask some questions, who here is closest with her?" The man asks.

"Me, i am. What do you need?" I speak up.

"Come with me," I follow the doctor into rubys room and I see her lying in bed with lots of tubes attached to her. What a horrible sight.

"I need to know if she has any previous problems or medical conditions," the man states.

"She has leukaemia when she was 11, why? She doesn't have it does she?" I ask, starting to get panicked. Ruby can't be ill, she's only 16.

"We think that that's the problem, however we still need to run some tests. Have you noticed any weight loss or sleepiness?"

"Yeah she's gotten really slim recently and I've heard from one of her close friends she's always sleeping," I say, practically on the edge of tears at this point.

"Ok, I've noted this all down and I should get her blood results back to you shortly." The man says before he leaves the room.

I go and sit beside ruby and hold her hand, stroking my thumb over her pale knuckles.

"Lucy?" A sleepy voice asks from beside me.

"Hi darling, you're ok," I say, comforting the petite girl next to me.

"Mhm," Ruby replies before drifting off back to sleep.

I take this moment to post on instagram, I'm forever grateful for Rosie and hate seeing her when she's so poorly.
