*Jimin POV*

Maybe things would never be perfect, but I liked to think they were. We agreed to work on things. And we did. Although the unfortunate part is your shitty past always follows you. At least the reminder that I was a shitty person came in the form of a beautiful baby.

Ronnie cried the first time she met her. I wasn't sure if it was from heart break of our own struggles for a baby or love. Ronnie said she loved her. I hoped that was the case but the way she was distant the whole ride home from the hospital and the few weeks to follow made me think maybe, maybe we would never be able to fix what was broken.

Thankfully one morning she woke up and it was like her world was no longer dark and gray, like she had been thrown into a new life. She smiled more. I liked that. And as she became happier, it was like I became happier too. The world was brighter and our relationship became stronger.

But today is her day. It's our anniversary. No talk of babies or exes or past relationships. Or so I hoped. I watched her dance around the house excitedly all morning in a matching baggy sweat suit. She was glowing. She was happy.

"I have a surprise for you later." She grinned at me.

"Oh really?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Don't be gross." She gently pushed my chest. "It's not like that."

I rolled my eyes jokingly. "You're very happy today."

"Hm." She smiled. "I guess I am."

She danced around our kitchen to music loudly. Baking what I assumed was brownies, due to the way she licked the spoon clean. "Can I have some?" I pointed to the chocolatey bowl of mixing. She stuck her finger in and swiped some chocolate, holding her finger up to me. I licked it off of her fingers. "So good."

"Why don't we do this more often?" She laughed grabbing my hand and pulling me to the middle of the kitchen floor.

"Do what?"

"Bake and dance."

"Hmm... maybe because you tell me you hate chocolate and sweets." I rubbed my nose against hers and kissed her lips.

"Lately, all I want is chocolate." She winked.

Hm, weird. "Maybe you're finally learning how to eat good food." I laughed.

"Not quite." She laughed sticking her finger back in the mixing bowl and licking it off her finger.

"You're acting so different today jagiya."

"Or maybe you just haven't been paying attention." She giggled setting a timer on her phone.

"Paying attention to what?" I looked at her confused.

"You'll see later." She giggled again. "Now go get ready we leave after the brownies are done."

So I was right those were brownies. Hmm...
