KIYO'S POV
"Okay, genius." My brother told me. "Are you going to tell us, then?"
"Nice as usual." I gave him a glare.
Chishiya held back a laugh, then I cleared my throat. "So, first of all I found out what the Joker actually is."
"Huh?" Arisu looked at me confused. "What do you mean?"
"I mean that the Joker is a thing. Come with me." I walked briskly, letting go of Chishiya's hand, and they all followed me.
We continued for a while, until we reached one of the streets that led to the Shibuya crossing, not far from the Shibuya 109 building.
On one of the walls was drawn the card of the Joker, the same size as a door.
"It looks like a door." Kuina said.
"This is a door." I told them smiling.
"Is this the Joker's solution? Opening a door?" My brother looked at me confused.
"If it was this, do you think I'd still be here?" I asked him sarcastically.
He snorted. "Then, why did you show it to us?"
"Because I think that's the way to overcome the Joker." I looked at my friends. "We have to find a way to open this door."
"But I don't see the handle nor the keyhole." Arisu said.
"Kiyo," Chishiya came up beside me. "You know why they're not there, don't you?"
I smiled at him. He always seemed to be able to read my mind and I liked that; sometimes we didn't even need to talk to each other, a look was enough for us to communicate.
"So?!" Niragi was impatient. What a news.
"There's no handle or keyhole because they'll appear when we find a way to open the door."
"But if there aren't-" Niragi opened his mouth, but I cut him off.
"Shh. We have this though." I took a piece of paper I'd put in my pocket and showed it to them. "I found it stuck in there."
I pointed out to them a narrow horizontal opening in the wall, in the center of the door, which looked very much like mail slots.
Arisu took the paper and read aloud what was written on it "Find the perimeter of the country and I will open."
Until then I hadn't understood what it meant, but when I found my friends I got the illumination.
"Huh?" Arisu made one of his weird faces, when he didn't understand, while Chishiya seemed to light up.
"What the fuck is the perimeter of the country?!" Niragi snapped .
"Don't ask me." Kuina said; she also looked very confused.
I looked at Chishiya and smiled at him with a knowing look. "You got it, didn't you?"
"I think so." He smiled at me too.
"Then, tell us." Niragi said.
"Don't you want to think about it and see if you can figure it out yourselves?" I looked at them, smiling.
"Kiyo, don't do like that night when neither you nor Chishiya wanted to tell us the solution to the Jack of Hearts." Kuina begged me.
"Come on, but this time you can really figure it out yourself."
