14-What now?

ARISU'S POV

As soon as I got through the portal, my body and senses were brought back to reality.I opened my eyes and found myself back in Kiyo's room. Niragi was already awake and the doctors were removing his electro-things, while Kuina was awakening in that very moment. Kiyo and Chishiya were still in a coma.

Yamada came towards me. "How are you feeling Arisu?"

"Pretty good, I think." I replied, as I saw Sakei going to Kuina and the nurses bringing a glass of water to Niragi, then they handed one to me and her as well.I took a sip of water, then looked around, still slightly dazed from the coma. "How long has it been in this side?"

"Six hours." Yamada smiled at me. "The Game After was successful."

"Guys, are you okay?" Kuina got up from her chair and looked at me and then at Niragi.

"All good." I answered her.

"Fine, fine. Why are they still sleeping?" Niragi looked at Chishiya and then at his sister.

"Actually, they should have woken up already..." Sakei looked worried and went to check the monitor. "Um...Yamada san, come here for a moment, please."

"What's happening?" Niragi stood up and joined Sakei, who turned the monitor so that Niragi couldn't see it.

"Nothing, sit down, please." He answered him.

"You're lying, let me see." Niragi, turned the monitor again; meanwhile, I, Kuina and Yamada joined them.

"What the fuck happened?" Niragi was furious again. "Didn't you just say the Game After was successful?! So, what's this?!"

"This is not the scenario where we were." Kuina said, looking puzzled at the monitor.

On the screen, you could see Kiyo and Chishiya on the terrace of a very high building, the sky was a dark red color, with some very strange clouds...looking closer, I realized that they weren't clouds, but the symbols of the cards. Giant Hearts, Spades, Clubs and Diamonds were moving in the sky and in the center, a card that none of us had ever seen. It was very similar to the Joker, but it was all black and white and "Jolly" was written on it.

"Where the hell did they end up?!" Niragi was even angrier.

"What exactly happened before you woke up?" Yamada asked.

"You have the monitor, haven't you seen it?!" Niragi snapped back.

"In the awakening phase the images become unclear." Sakei explained.

"We went through a red portal." Kuina replied.

"All three of you?" Yamada looked thoughtful.

"Yes." I replied.

"Are you sure they went through it too?" Yamada looked at us, then looked at our friends on the screen.

"Well...they were behind me." Kuina said.

"So you're not 100% sure they crossed it." Yamada mused.

"I don't think my sister stayed there on purpose." Niragi glared at him.

"No, but something must have happened." Yamada cupped his chin between thumb and index finger.

"What now?" Kuina asked, concerned.

"Don't you record everything?" I asked.

"Yes." Sakei answered me.

"Then, go back and see what happened." I suggested.
