NIRAGI'S POV
It turned out that Kuina's friend had found the address of Sho Kawazaki's office and not his home, but as long as we could meet him in person, it was fine anyway.
At 9 o'clock we were already there.
I went to the counter and told the secretary we wanted to see Mr. Kawazaki.
"Do you have an appointment?" She asked me.
"No, but it's an urgent matter."
"Mr. Kawazaki is by appointment only." The secretary said, returning to the computer.
"Di you hear what I just told you? It's urgent and if you don't-"
Kuina interrupted me. "Our friend is in a coma, and the only way to wake her up is to talk to Mr. Kawazaki." Kuina looked into her eyes with a sad look, perhaps to pity her. "And he's the only one who can help us."
The secretary considered her words, then picked up the phone and dialed a number.
"Yes, perfect thanks." She said, hanging up the phone. "Take the lift over there and go to the twelfth floor. He's in a meeting now, but he'll see you as soon as it's over."
"Thank you so much." Kuina said, smiling at her. "Come on guys, let's go."
"Good job." Arisu complimented her, as we entered the lift.
"Thank you." Kuina smiled satisfied.
In a few seconds, we reached the twelfth floor; we continued on to a waiting room and sat down to wait.
"I hope they don't take forever." I huffed. Patience was not one of my best qualities.
"There's nothing we can do about it so..." Arisu noted.
After about an hour, the meeting ended and Mr. Kawazaki waved us into the room.
"Take a seat." He told us, taking a seat himself at one of the many chairs around the long table. "My secretary told me it was urgent." He looked at us.
"My sister is in a coma." I said.
"Oh, I'm very sorry." Kawazaki, shifted his gaze to me. "But what do I have to do with it?"
"You see, her coma is a bit peculiar." Chishiya started explaining. "At the moment she's hospitalized in a private clinic and to wake her up, the doctors are carrying out an experiment."
"I still don't understand how this affects me..." Kawazaki was perplexed.
"Now I'll explain it to you," Chishiya continued. "Her mind is kind of stuck inside Borderland."
"How would that be?"
"Her mind has created a scenario that matches the one in your video game and until she passes the last level, she won't wake up."
"Interesting..." Kawazaki cupped his chin in his hands.
"My sister is in a coma and you find it interesting?" I said, glaring at him, with the anger that was slowly starting to built up.
"I apologize." Kawazaki looked at me. "Bad choice of words; still, I find it fascinating."
"Yes, even doctors have never seen anything like it." Arisu said. "But to wake up, she'll also need our help."
"Exactly." Chishiya added. "You see, we too have been induced into a coma, to go and get her, let's say, because she seems to be unable to wake up alone."
"We made two attempts, but they didn't work because the scenarios were different." Kuina added.
"Yeah." I confirmed. "A big waste of time." I snorted.
