You explained to Donna what Logan told you. You then told her about the emotion manipulation and how you were able to communicate with Logan and you told her your thoughts about how you were able to do that.
To add the icing on the cake, you told Donna that Alexis may very well be tied to Logan and his family, given how Logan reacted. You did say that you had to talk to Alexis again before confirming that.
"Does that mean that Alexis is in on this?" Angie asked.
You shrugged your shoulders. "I'm not sure, again, I can't confirm that and it's very possible that she isn't apart of this."
While you were talking to Angie, Donna was writing down your new ability development. Even the pollen that is able to put people to sleep. This was your book, like how the Lords have their own books about them and their abilities. Donna was going to give Mother Miranda a copy, so if she wanted to test and experiment on certain things, she could.
At this point, Donna believed that you were done with your abilities. The only thing left was to see if you had another form. It was a pretty low chance, but it's not zero.
"Why are both of your eyes glowing this time?" Angie pointed out. "Last time it was only the right side."
Donna lifted up her head and looked at you. How did she not notice that? Donna then gently grabbed your face, turning it and examined your eyes.
"Surge of power." Donna mumbled before heading back to the book.
"Surge of power?"
"That means you are getting stronger." Angie said.
Your eyes then when back to normal. With your right eye being a honey yellow again and your left back to your normal eye color.
"Donna."
Donna kept writing in the book.
"Donna."
You frowned as she continued to write. You understood why but at the same time you needed to get ready to go.
"Go get changed, I'll deal with Donna." Angie spoke as she jumped over to Donna.
You nodded and went to the room that you and Donna shared. You got changed and grabbed all your books and satchel. Donna was waiting for you at the door. You opened the door for her and then shut it behind you.
The three of you chatted as you walked to the town square. Once you got there you were honestly surprised with how many people showed up. Donna took her place next to Mother Miranda and you followed close behind her.
The last to show was Lord Heisenberg. Now that everyone was here, Mother Miranda cleared her throat, getting everyone's attention. During the speech you were zoning out. You weren't listening to a word Mother Miranda was saying.
You were focused on the crowd. Your eyes scanned for the people you saw the other day. The Lords were then speaking when it was their turn about what is needed at the festival and what is expected.
You then got an uneasy feeling again and that's when it happened. Your eyes met the older man's gaze. The same one from the other day. You glared at him to let him know that you knew. At this action of yours, his eyes widened. You could feel his fear and uneasiness. He was now nervous and you knew this would officially put you on the list of people they are going to try and kill.
"Y/n."
You snapped out of your glare and looked over at Donna.
"We are having lunch at Alcina's."
The crowd disbanded and the man was gone. You turned back to Donna and nodded, silently following her and everyone else back to Lady Dimitrescu's castle. It was only thirty minutes till lunch and everyone was sitting around chatting.
Alexis was sitting next to Alcina, all smiles and happy. You were happy to see that she was doing way better than the last time you saw her. You pulled out your book and started writing. Out of the corner of her eye, Donna was watching you. Very curious on what you were writing.
You stood up and walked over to Alcina. You waited till she was done talking before lightly tapping her shoulder. Alcina turned to you, taking a sip of wine.
Can I talk to you alone for a moment? Few minutes tops.
Alcina nodded before standing up and excusing herself from the conversation. You felt Donna's gaze as you two left the room.
"What do you wish to talk about?" Alcina asked.
You wrote down in your book as quickly as you could.
I wanted to ask you about Alexis. How did she end up here?
Alcina's eyes narrowed. "Why do you want to know?"
I believe Alexis may be connected to the people out to kill you guys. I'm not saying that she's apart of it because I honestly think she has nothing to do with it. Logan was the man that tried to kill Donna, and with his reaction to what I said about Alexis, I have a feeling that they are related.
To say that Alcina was shocked was an understatement. You assumed that Mother Miranda hasn't told her or anyone else yet.
"That explains why Mother Miranda was asking questions about Alexis." Alcina whispered.
Alcina composed herself and cleared her throat. "I found Alexis out in the back, passed out. When she woke up she had no memory how she got there or who she really was. All she knew was her name."
That was interesting. You nodded your head a wrote down thank you before bowing and heading back into the room with everyone. You took a seat next to Donna once again. Donna gently leaned over, resting her head on your shoulder.
"What did you talk to Alcina about?" She whispered.
"I asked about Alexis. Apparently Alcina found her passed out with no memory of what happened to her. All she knew was her name."
That then made you question what you saw that day when you peered into her mind. That was probably a memory that she doesn't remember but has been there.
"I'm guessing she is ruled out." Donna whispered.
"Correct. But the connection of being related to Logan and the other is definitely most likely. I would have to dig around more."
Donna hummed as she got more comfortable. Then a maid ringed a bell announcing that lunch was ready. Donna stood up, holding a hand out to you which you took without hesitation.
