The next day was peaceful. Last night Lady Beneviento said that she would explain to you what's been going on and who attacked you. You were in a very good mood today, so much so that you made pancakes topped with fresh berries.
Maybe tomorrow you could do French toast? It didn't take long for the smell of fresh pancakes to consume the whole house. You hear Angie literally running her way into the kitchen from the upstairs. Lady Beneviento was cleaning out one of her storage rooms. When you asked why, she said that it would be a teatime/talk room.
You didn't question her and just nodded. Angie hopped up onto the table already inhaling her food. You were amazed that the doll could even eat. Angie's childish behavior right now was very cute to you. Therfore you decided to pat her on the head.
Angie looked up at you and giggled while swinging her little feet. Lady Beneviento then entered the room, veil still on. You pulled out the chair for her and gave her the syrup, to which she thanked you for. You took your seat next to your lady and began to eat.
Lady Beneviento gave you a new pen and cleaned your book to the best of her ability. Some pages did have a few blood stains on them but that was okay. You ate a bit faster than you normally would. Angie was done already and now full of sugar.
"LET'S GO! THE HIDE AND SEEK CHAMPION IS READY!!"
You watched as Angie zoomed out of the room giggling like mad. You looked over at Lady Beneviento with a worried look on your face. A dry chuckle left your lady which confused you.
"Don't worry, she's fine. This isn't the first time Angie has been on a sugar high."
Hearing you lady laugh and then speak was music to your ears. A smile formed on your face.
"Whenever you are ready, you may ask any questions you have. I promise I will tell the truth."
You weren't expecting Lady Beneviento to be ready to do it now, but you took it. You opened up your book and started writing down the first question you had. You held up the book to Lady Beneviento.
The dolls. The move and I've seen them move, Angie included. I will say that I'm surprised that they have weapons and I'm thankful that they got to me in time that day. How are the dolls able to move around? How are you connected to them?
You heard a sigh escaped your lady's lips.
"Yes. The dolls are connected to me. Mother Miranda gave me a gift, along with the other lords. It's called the Cadou. I take my Cadou and put it into my dolls to make them alive. I can see and hear whatever they can. Angie is no different other than being more gifted by being my mouthpiece and is able to move about more freely."
That made a lot of sense. You nodded and went back to writing your next question. You weren't expecting her to answer this one as you held it up.
What was with the spider that I saw that one day? Hearing my mother and then the beach, Does the Cadou give you powers?
"Yes, the Cadou gives people powers. Each very different from person to person. I have the power to make hallucinations and see into your mind. That's how I was able to show you that beach in Italy. The beach and your mother was my doing. I was making you hallucinate after the spider incident. The spider was an accident. I was dealing with the man that Karl brought and I lost control of my powers out of panic. The man that attacked you was caught stealing and he managed to escape the basement.... and hurt you. I'm so sorry."
She got more quiet as she went on. You placed your hand over hers and smiled. You weren't upset, she tried to make it up to you with your mother and the beach. She didn't have to do that, but she did. That shows how much she cares about you. Lady Beneviento held your hand as you wrote down your last question that you have. Upon holding up the book for your lady to read, she squeezed your hand.
