Ashton paced around his room. He sighed then decided to push his bedroom door open and to go find Calum.
Their apartment was more than nice; it was fancy. Ashton's parents found the only way they could express their love towards him was money. If you would actually call what they had love.
Ashton Irwin was a single child, and his dad was a business owner who was skilled at trickery, while his mom worked mostly away at far off countries. They were never around much, and Ashton had learned to live by himself. At a young age he had known who he was and what he liked, which was usually unusual.
Ashton had excelled in school, but had chosen not to go to collage. He was the star player on the soccer team back in highschool, and everyone liked him. Everyone.
But he never felt satisfied. He always wanted more and more, and when he did get it, he couldn't get enough. What really hurt him was his parents never cared. They had never shown up at his big games, nor that one time he was lead roll in the school play. Sometimes Ashton did stupid things just so his parents would notice him. It never worked.
"Hey cal." Ashton said, walking up behind the expensive black leather couch Calum was sitting on, playing FIFA.
"Yo." Calum was Ashton's only friend. They had met during highschool, and things just kind of 'clicked'. Also Ashton really liked Calum's moms baking.
"Wanna do something today? Maybe other then sitting on your butt and playing FIFA." Ashton said, slightly annoyed. Calum ate all his food. He slept in the bed Ashton had bought and also played on the gaming console Ashton had purchased.
Calum grunted. "Eh, I don't know. Today's kind of a lazy day."
Ashton rolled his eyes and swept some of his long, brown hair out of his eyes. "Every day for you is a lazy day. Let's go find some girls or something." Calum paused the game and turned around to face Ashton, cocking an eyebrow.
"Find some girls?" Calum repeated, and Ashton nodded. After a few seconds Calum scrunched his nose. "Nah, I'm fine."
Ashton scoffed. "Fine whatever. I'm going out. Please don't light the house on fire alright?" Ashton asked, grabbing his coat and slipping on his shoes from the entry way.
"Alright sweetie!" Calum pretended he was a girl, raising the pitch of his voice to a squeaky squeal. "Love you!"
Ashtons response was the door slamming shut.
