it was the next day, and Alexandra was studying herself in the mirror. She didn't do this all the time, since she was pretty content with her body, but today was different. She was seeing Luke.

Alexandra never stayed with one guy. After being with one, she moved on to the next. Some of the guys she had dated were douchebags, some were genuinely nice guys.

She touched up her eyeliner, made sure none of her crazy hair was sticking up, and left out the door of her small apartment. She had agreed to meet Luke at the adorable cafe close by.

She didn't have a car, so she walked along the side of the street. It was only two miles away.

When she got there, she reconigzed a tall, blonde leaning up against the outside of the cafe.

she wasn't sure if she should greet Luke first. she didn't know if she could actually do it.

"uh, hey." she said a bit timidly and Luke looked up from the ground and when he realized it was Alexandra, his face lit up.

"Alexandra! there you are!" he exclaimed and Alex nodded. they smiled awkwardly (yet it didn't seem like that to them) for a bit until it got too cold to stand outside.

Luke opened the door for her. "here you are." he said sweetly and he watched her as she blushed slightly and whispered thank you under her breath.

she walked into the cafe. it was a quaint little place, where an old lady and her teenaged granddaughter worked, and where the windows were covered in floral frill and the walls covered in wallpaper.

"this is cute." Luke said, standing behind Alex in the entryway.

"yeah, it really is. I come here often."

"cool." he answered and pulled out a seat for Alex at the nearest table. he smiled as she blushed.

he is such a gentleman god damn it. she thought.

he sat down across from her and folded his hands in his lap. Alex waited.

"thanks for coming out here with me." Luke spoke up. she watched how his eyes traced up and down her face and how some of his blonde hair fell forward, barely touching his forehead. he cheeks were pink because of the cold, and his tiny little nose was red. He looked adorable.

Alex couldn't help but stare. he made her insides bubble with excitement, and her heart rate speed up.

"yeah of course." Alex answered slowly. Luke raised his eyebrows at her.

"Luke-" Alex said her breath hitching. his eyes pierced hers and Luke slowly brought his hand over to where hers sat on top of the table, not breaking eye contact. he placed his hand on top her tiny one and Alex took in a deep breath. his hand was so warm.

"I really like you Luke." she said finally. Luke smiled shyly. "me too Alexandra. I really like you too."
