Kyle's POV:

"Let me go"

Cartman's hand that was previously around my forearm loosens it's grip. I stumble forward, my face still a bit red. I don't dare to look in his direction, but he keeps glancing over at me.

"I'm sorry-" Cartman started, but I quickly cut him off.

"Just go the hell home."

I speed up and take a turn onto my street, leaving him to walk to his house alone. What was his problem today? He was being- weirdly nice. His stupid insults sounded forced. And any other day, he'd probably laugh when I tripped. This was unlike him.

I'm not sure if I like it or not.

Cartman POV:

I stopped as Kyle stomped off. I really wanted to say something, just to make him turn back around and listen to me. But I couldn't.

I sighed and continued to walk down to my house. I tried to forget about the situation by thinking about me and Heidi's anniversary.
I planned to give her a necklace tomorrow. I bought one yesterday with the money I've been saving up. It looks pretty expensive.

I creak open the front door and I'm greeted with my mom.

"Oh, how was your night with your friends hun?"
I thought back to when I was with Kenny, Stan and Kyle. But all I could think of was that stupid thing that happened outside Jack in the Box.

"That fucker pisses me off.." I mumbled, heading for the stairs. "What was that Eric?"

"It went great, mehm," I race up my staircase. I rub my eyes as I enter my room. I need to find that necklace for Heidi before I go to bed so that I don't forget about it.

I dig through my drawer, nothing.

I look inside my desk, nothing.

I panic, continuing to look through my room for the jewelry. I can't find it anywhere.

"Ah fuck.."
