I was hunting again for food. If I can't find food I'll starve and then my body will force me to stay awake all night again until I find food. Just then I saw a fish tail in the river. I grabbed my bow and arrow and shot at it. It penetrated the scales and brought the creature out of the river and the arrow eventually hit a tree and the creature was stuck. My eyes widened. Shit, I hadn't hit a fish, I thought to myself as I lowered the bow and arrow to take a proper look at the squirming being with it's face practically in the dirt trying to figure out why it had been shot. It was a fucking mermaid. Blue haired, blue scales all the way up to her armpits (and covering her chest) all the way down to her shimmering fish tail with two fins going down on where her hips were supposed to be. She had a shark fin like object on her back and two fins behind her ears as well. Besides that she was screeching and yelling something in mer-language or something. I honestly had no idea what to do. She had sharp teeth, similar to a shark's, she also had sunshine yellow eyes with small slits in them like a cat's eye. It stopped squirming and stared at me. We made eye contact and she didn't see, too happy.

We were like that for a while until she hissed at me.
"Ummm, I can help you?" I signaled as I pointed to the arrow at her tail and she stopped hissing at me and just sat there quite uncomfortably as I jumped across the rocks that were for some reason across the river. She was giving me a weird stare that probably meant I hate you tiny child but I can't read facial expressions all too well. I was standing above her with my hand grabbing the tip of the arrow. I pulled it out of the tree and almost fell into the river but didn't luckily. The tail wasn't bleeding at least but I don't think the mermaid was going to have the best chance of reaching the water since she was like ten meters away from it. She didn't want my help so I just watched her crawl across into the muddy lake and watched her plop in.
