One day Butters begins to realize that Eric is always talking about how Kenny's died. So he started to pay more attention.

"Dude, fucking Kenny's gotta stop," Eric grumbled.
"Stop what?" Butters asked in confusion. Eric just shrugged.

Butters knew better then to press so he let it go. Later, Kenny walked up and Eric said something that caught Butters' attention.

"There you are, get run over again or something?" Eric said sarcastically. Kenny just rolled his eyes and told him to fuck off.

After that, Butters started listening to Eric more. And he mentioned it lots, subtly mentioning ways Kenny has been injured. But all should have and definitely would have killed him.

One day Butters was walking with Kenny when a car came speeding down the road. It jumped the curb and took the taller blond out. Butters screamed and hurried to his friend, but he knew it was too late.

After calling 911 and getting home, he realized he needed to write it down. He wrote down the time, date, place and cause of Kenny's death.

The next morning, like clockwork, everyone had forgotten. Butters got to school and met up with Kenny and Eric with a grin.
"Hey fellas!" He greeted cheerfully.
"Sup," Eric said without paying much attention.

That day, after eating, Kenny started getting sick. He was puking blood and ended up dying in the hospital.

When Butters got home, he realized he needed to write it down. He opened his notebook and found a pre started page. Exactly what the was about to start. The first date was yesterday.

He quickly wrote the time, date, place and cause and shut the book. He didn't want to think about how weird it was.

For a month Butters wrote every time Kenny died down. Each time, he was startled to find that he'd already written dates down. By the time it was 30 days after the first time, Butters had 23 deaths written down.

One morning though was different. He woke up and immediately knew it was different.

He could remember.

Butters jumped up, running to his desk. He opened the book and let out a shocked breath. He remembered what happened the day before.

When he got to school, he grabbed Kenny's arm and dragged him away. The taller boy was surprised and smirked

"Last time this happened, I got laid," Kenny chuckled.
"Get those gross thoughts out of your head," Butters said, embarrassed and red. He opened his notebook to the page and shoved it into Kenny's hands. The blond was confused and looked down. He froze, reading over his last 23 deaths.

"I remember...you got trampled by cows yesterday," Butters mumbled.

"What the hell are you talking about Butters," Kenny hissed. Butters was surprised by the sudden anger and dislike in his voice.
"I...I know Eric knows a-and started writing it down. Why does this happen?"
"It's none of your business, Stotch. Leave it alone," Kenny almost threw the notebook at the shorter boy before storming off. Butters slowly knelt to pick up the book, not knowing what to do.

Why did Kenny react like that? Why was he so angry?

Butters took the book and found Eric.
"Dude you look like you got your ass handed to you. What happened?" Eric chuckled.
"Kenny got mad at me cause I showed him this,"

Eric looked over the book and laughed a bit.
"Yeah, he gets really angry and defensive about it. Don't worry about him. He's fine,"
"But why does it happen? And how do you know?"
"I dunno. Started remembering it in grade 3. Apparently his parents went to some cult meeting before he was born or when he was baby cause of free drinks and he got cursed," Eric shrugged.

Butters didn't bring it up to Kenny again, but continued to remember and write it down. 2 more weeks went by. 14 days, and 12 deaths happened. Each violent, sudden and terrifying.

Finally he worked up the courage and confronted Kenny again.

He walked up, gripping the book in his hand and grabbed Kenny's arm. Kyle and Stan looked confused but Kenny instantly knew and scowled.
"What," he demanded.
"I need to talk to you,"
"No, you don't," Kenny yanked his arm away, turning back. Butters huffed, handing his book to Kyle.
"Read it,"
"Don't, Kyle," Kenny's annoyed voice wavered. Kyle ignored him, opening the book with Stan looking over his shoulder. The twos eyes widened as they turned the pages. They finally looked at Butters, then to Kenny.

"What the hell is this?" Stan finally asked.

Kenny reached out, snatching the book. Then he grabbed Butters arm and dragged him away. Butters was quick tofollow, whining as Kenny hurt his arm with the tight grip.

"Why won't you just stop?" Kenny demanded once alone. "Its none of your damn business, ok?"
"Because I'm worried about you and you're being really weird about it!" Butters snapped.
"Because I die, almost every day. I feel EVERYTHING, Butters! I feel every God damnthing. Every time I'm run over, I feel all my bones break. I feel my skin burn when I'm on fire. I feel the bullets pierce my skin and I feel my lungs collapse when I drown. Do you even understand how TERRIFYING that is?! It fucking sucks. It hurts," Kenny's eyes filled with tears. "And I have to deal with it alone. Every day. I'm completely alone. No one EVER remembers. Can you even imagine that? Dying and coming back, only for no one to remember you died,"

Butters stood, shocked. He didn't knowhow to respond.
"E-Eric remembers," he said softly. Kenny scoffed.
"Yeah. HE remembers. The one who laughs when I get run over, who has been the cause of my death and always makes my death about him. He's the one to remember. Not the ones who care about me. Him knowing makes zero difference,"

Butters felt his lip quiver. He stared at the ground, fists clenched.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. "You're right. I have..no idea what you deal with. I can't imagine how awful it is to go through that alone. But..I'm remembering now. I-I can help you. You can talk to me,"

He looked up, to see a tear roll down Kenny's cheek.
"Its so scary...and it hurts so much,"

Butters hugged the taller boy, happy to feel him hug back.
"It's going to be ok, Ken. I'll always be here for you," he whispered.
"Thank you, Butters,"

The two sat, just talking. Mostly Kenny, unloading everything he'd felt for nearly his entire life. Butters listened, holding his hand the whole time.

And when Kenny was finished, he agreed to tell Kyle and Stan. Butters encouraged them to do what he did when they were skeptical.

Finally they agreed. And Bitters continued writing it all down. Slowly his memories for clear on the events. Which messed him up, but knowing Kenny was ok in the morning from a text made him feel so much better.

And after another month and 20 more deaths, Kyle and Stan believed them. Kenny told them everything and they hugged him, telling him it would all be ok.

After that, Kenny was more happy and confident. He suffered a lot from anxiety and PTSD, but with his friends by his side, he was more confident. They never let him be exposed to dangerous situations. They watched out for him.

They remembered him.

I'm so sorry this is so late, I really struggled with figuring out an ending. But the creative juices were flowing and I finished it!

I really hope you enjoyed and have a wonderful day. I love you all so much, bye bye!!
