After Clyde gets dumped, Tolkien takes his chance

The gang sat at the lunch table, laughing. Craig held Tweek's hand, Tolkien across from them. Beside Tolkien was Clyde, Jimmy on the other side of Clyde.

The boys were laughing about the latest dumb meme when Bebe walked up.
"Hey babe," Clyde smiled.
"Clyde, can I talk to you?" The girl said. She sounded upset. Craig and Tolkien shared a look, watching Clyde get led away.

"Welp, he's getting dumped," Craig muttered, eating his sandwich.
"Says who?" Tweek asked in confusion.
"Dude. 'Can I talk to you' is girl for 'I'm about to break your heart,'" Tolkien said matter-of-factly. Tweek frowned, looking to watch Clyde and Bebe. Bebe said something and Clyde looked like he immediately began to cry. He bowed his head and nodded, his fists clenched.

Clyde sat back down, his head down. The boys looked at him in concern.
"Clyde?" Tolkien asked softly.
"S-she broke up with me," the brunettes voice broke. They saw tears fall from his eyes.

"Oh...buddy," Tolkien said softly, putting his arm around the other. Craig gave him a knowing look, Tolkien shooting him a glare that told him to keep his mouth shut.

Clyde cried softly, shaking. Tolkien held him as Jimmy patted his leg to try to comfort him.

When lunch ended, the 5 went and sat in the field. Clyde wasn't crying, but he was silent and kept his head down. Tweek and Jimmy sat on either side of him, hoping to make him laugh. Meanwhile Craig and Tolkien stood a few feet away.
"Dude, come on. Tell him," Craig urged.

"No way! He just got dumped. I need to give him time to heal," Tolkien hissed.
"Stop being a goody two shoes. Get your man," Craig told him. Tolkien groaned softly as he walked over to the shorter boy.

"Hey Clyde. Let's go take a walk," he said nervously. Clyde looked up, his wide brown eyes so full of sadness and hurt. It broke Tolkien's heart.

Clyde stood and followed the other away, making Craig smile. He sat beside Tweek and kissed his cheek.

Tolkien walked beside the shorter boy, his heart pounding.
"She...didn't deserve you," he said softly. Clyde sniffled, wiping his nose.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean you deserve someone better. Someone who will care for you," Tolkien was blushing. Clyde looked at him, noticing the blush. It hit him and he went a bit red.

"O-oh...do you maybe...have someone in mind?"
"I do actually," Tolkien stopped walking. "Clyde...God, I don't even know how to say it. Dude, I've had the biggest crush on you. Like forever,"

Clyde stared at him in complete shock.
"Y-you like me?" Tolkien nodded, not looking at the others face. "Woah...I didn't expect that,"
"I totally understand if you don't feel the same, and I'm alright with staying just friends if you're comfortable with that," Tolkien said softly, wanting Clyde to be comfortable with him.

"I'm not really sure what my feelings are. I really admire you and enjoy your company, but I've had a crush on a guy before...I don't really know. Is that ok?" 
"Of course. I don't mind waiting for an answer, whichever it is," Tolkien smiled warmly. Clyde smiled back. The two returned to the rest of the group, Craig looking at Tolkien expectantly.

"Not yet. Chill," Tolkien chuckled as he sat beside Craig.
