Alex Santiago (P.O.V)

Days turned into weeks and Weeks into Months. Time flew by while we were all cramped down here in a cell together. As time had passed, Samantha and Fawn had their babies. Luke refused to send anyone to take them out of the cell, so we all had to help Samantha and Fawn with their babies.

Samantha's baby was a healthy baby girl she named Faith to help us all have faith that April would return and save us from our suffering soon. Fawn had one healthy baby son and one healthy baby girl. Fawn and Timothy chose to name their son, Louis Griffith, and their daughter, Hope Griffith.

Lily was due soon as well and I was nervous that she would have to give birth in this awful place too. She was resting in the far corner of the cell beside Samantha and Faith. Fawn, Louis, Hope, and Timothy were huddled in the other corner together trying to get some rest together.

It wasn't long until the sound of footsteps had everyone on edge and moving to hide the children behind all of us. I stood in front of them with Mark, both of us growling in warning to whoever it was approaching. My heart dropped as I saw Becky round the corner with Luke walking by her side. As if it was instinctual, I moved in front of Lily and fought the painful urge to turn into my tiger form.

"Ah. Alex Santiago and Lily Sprout. So nice to meet you two again. It is such a shame you two are on that side of the bars instead of on this side of the bars." Becky said with a smug smile on her face.

"We're Tiger-humans. Not puppets." I snapped as I glared at Luke. "We follow April Springs, not you or these witches."

Luke chuckled and shook his head before turning his head away. Becky stepped up to the bars, her hands behind her back and a calculative look on her face. She stared right through me to Lily.

"Darling little Lily. Why don't you step around your boyfriend or are you two no longer seeing each other? Either way, come here. Let's have a little girl's chat upstairs, hm? I'll let you take a shower and eat as much as you want as well as change into something far more comfortable than what you wore months ago." Becky spoke to Lily.

Something in me told me that it was a bad idea to let Lily go forward alone and I turned towards her. She was getting up and looked me dead in the eye with a blank look. I watched as she forced her way around me and walked over to the cage door. She turned back to look at me, a disappointed look on her face before she looked over everyone else in the cell.

"I'm going to go up and try to figure out what they want from us. I won't be gone long. I promise." Lily said before following Becky out of the cage and towards the stairs.

"Lily! Don't!" I shouted as I ran for the cage bars.

Luke was there and I felt his fist collide with my jaw before I could remotely see his fist. I landed on the ground with the taste of blood in my mouth. He stood in front of the cage door, closing it, and locking it back up.

He turned to look at me as I looked towards him, and he spat at me. I could feel his spit hit my cheek and roll down it. I laid there waiting for him to turn to leave.

Once he left, I used my sleeve to wipe the spit from my cheek and sit up. I rubbed my jaw and grimaced in pain. My jaw was going to be sore for a while.

Mark approached me and offered me his hand. Quickly taking it, he helped me up and upon looking behind me at the others, I realized that not only did they think Lily just betrayed us - which she very much could have just now - but they were also looking at me as if I would betray them at a moment's notice.

I sighed and walked to the corner Lily had just been in. Samantha had taken Faith and moved closer to Fawn and her little budding family. I decided to sit down and close my eyes for a bit of rest. This wasn't going to end well if we were all locked up in a cage.
