It's been a year since I left Alina Island and I've lived in Caleb's home with him. Mark, Jaydin, Ragna, Alex, and little Marcus all lived there as well, so I wasn't completely alone. Caleb's home was once Rick's home. He had bought the land before the bank took custody of it after we had left. Luckily Rick's books were all still here, leaving me plenty to read and learn in the year that I was forced to live away from my children.

In that time, Mark and I poured over the books talking about the vampires and learned there were nine vampire council members. The first one, Ophelius Deamore, was the first vampire lord and not just any. He was claimed to be the one who began the vampire species off according to the books Rick had on vampire lore and the council members.

The second one, Cornelius Wrath, now he seemed like quite the character. He was apparently a friendly farmer who invited Ophelius into his home. He was convinced to kill not only his family, but also his neighbors. From there, he went on a murder spree until he was driven underground by something called the ancients.

Mark and I searched and searched the libraries and Rick's office for anything about these ancients, but we couldn't find anything. It was like there was a book out there about the ancients that I couldn't find here. That led me to believe that one of the other vampires must have it instead.

The third vampire council member was one I knew the name and backstory to already. Delphine Snowharpy, the one who fought one of the first of the Prowler family. I wouldn't doubt it if she was relishing in the downfall of the Prowlers up to Zackery and how the Hawkies had been turning into Tiger-humans instead of continuing to be Prowler Werewolves. She hunted werewolves and she was indeed a vampire princess.

She was the granddaughter to Ophelius before he was a vampire and had married some prince. The prince remarried because she was nowhere to be found and the records had been destroyed to disprove her marriage should she return. She had been taken by her grandfather and turned into a vampire and hence was called the Vampire Princess.

The fourth vampire was called Godiva Kjarr. She was not only a mystery in the books, but from what I could tell from what Rick wrote about her, she was cryptic when she did talk, silent when she didn't, and extremely observant. If I ever met her, I'd have to be extremely cautious of what I say and do around her. She seemed like someone who would easily be able to kill me in a heartbeat.

The fifth vampire in the list of vampire councils was a man named Amir Kaur. From the books on him, he was interesting enough. He had a fortress in India where he lived with the people he turned into vampires offering rich rewards and luxury once they reached some sort of part in his vampiric hierarchy. His vampires and him hunted all sorts of creatures in India's forests, but they also hunted tigers. It sickened me to think the tiger forms the Tiger-humans had received was in fact tigers hunted and caught in India and other places around the world.

The sixth vampire in the list was Harpreet Kaur and they were the sibling of Amir Kaur. They didn't live in India but did travel between China, Malaysia, the Philippines, Korea, Russia, and Japan. They didn't have any gender on their listing so I couldn't tell if they were male or female. With what quick research we could do into their name, we couldn't find a photo either and only could find that their first name was used for both males and females. We at least knew based on the looks of Amir Kaur, they had to be of Indian descent at least, or so we assumed.

The seventh vampire was named Tjaart Pretorius, and he seemed to live in Africa and the Middle East. There were few accounts of Rick meeting him, but from the books we had available, we could tell he was an advent hunter of lions, cheetahs, and any other large feline he could get his hands on through the black market. We would have to try contacting Crystal and see if she and her people would be willing to help us handle this vampire.
