The information Alex tortured out of the vampire and the information Azra gave us were the exact same. Michael had sent in his vampires to guard the docks while Tjaart Pretorius, one of the other vampire council members, had sent his vampires to the others on the island. Both were enraged that those on the island and those who followed me to the docks had simultaneously attacked. We both had cut communication and escape routes at about the same time and had taken down their vampires.
Azra had gotten us the information four days after the battle and brought us more information we could use. The vampire talked after ten days. We had no reason to have kept the vampire with us and torture him. If we had just either killed him or asked him what he knew like Caleb had suggested, we would have still received the information from Azra first before the vampire talked.
Alex had been quite upset learning that he didn't need to torture the vampire and had secluded himself to his bedroom. Mark had brought Marcus back after the fight and since Alex had refused to leave his room, Caleb and I have been taking care of Marcus. At this point I had gathered that I would become a mother once more. This time it wouldn't be Luke's kids, and no one would be able to take the child or children away from me.
Caleb was constantly worried about my safety but didn't bother trying to stop me when it came to me defending the werewolves and our people. He was supportive even if he was constantly making sure I had everything I needed.
The werewolves had decided to form their own pack which they had named the Winter Pack in honor of all Mark, and I have done for them. Cole had been nominated as pack alpha and I had constant meetings with him to discuss plans for the remaining vampire council members as well as what we could do to improve relations between the Winter Pack and the Tiger-humans.
We had also received a few Griffins who also had decided to live on the property with us. The griffins who lived with us took to naming themselves the Winter Battalion and their leader was a griffin named Nefari, a pure white griffin with startling ice blue eyes. The other griffins called her the last ice griffin. I haven't had a chance to ask her why they called her that.
Occasionally, Nefari and Cole would come see me at the same time, but sometimes Nefari sent her second, Adonis, a young mountain griffin with gray eyes. They were both fair in their decisions and never rushed a decision so far.
A knock on the door broke my concentration and I looked up at the door as Caleb walked in. he walked over and sat down beside me with a sigh. I raised a brow at him, waiting for him to speak.
"How long do you think it will be before the vampire council is brought down? I keep getting calls about wolves being spotted and people in town are worried that their pets will be snatched out of their yards." Caleb grumbled.
"You could always bring this to Cole. He is the Alpha of the Winter Pack. As for the vampire council, chances are it will take a lot longer than I would like it to." I said as I leaned back and sighed.
"Have you been thinking of names?" Caleb asked after a few minutes of utter silence.
"Why would I be thinking of names now and not towards when the child has a birth gender so that we know what to expect, especially if it turns out to be more than one?" I asked as I turned my head to look at him.
Caleb was staring at me with confusion before leaning back and staring up at the ceiling. He seemed to be thinking hard on what I said. He sighed and looked over at me, kissing my forehead.
"I'm sorry. You are right. We can't think of a bunch of names without knowing what it will be and whether it will be more than one." Caleb said as he gave me a small smile. "Now how about meditating a bit?"
