I leaned forward, pressing my hands together and pressing them against my mouth to hide the scowl on my face. My father had stooped to new lows by bringing back my birth mother. He was clearly trying to provoke me into action. What did he gain from me moving to find and kill the vampire version of my mom so that she could return to her eternal slumber?
I sighed and cleared my head of these thoughts. Right now, was not the time to concern myself with the reason my birth mother was brought back. Azra had come to inform us of the vampires blocking the docks and about my mother. She had helped me escape the Snowharpy estate. As far as a half-vampire could go, she had gained some trust from me. I was still skeptical that she was doing this because Michael could have told her to do so considering how she had sat by him at the dinner table back at the Snowharpy estate six months ago. He could have told her a lot that could cause me to get agitated and act against Michael and her.
"So, the Secluded Forest Coven is moving with the vampires again?" I asked as I leaned back and lowered my arms.
"The Secluded Forest Coven is not with the vampires. Only Kaitlin Simon is." Azra replied, staring directly at me with her blue eyes.
"So, if their coven leader is siding with vampires, then it's a good assumption that the coven that follows their leader is too." I said as I sighed and rubbed my forehead.
I would need Isabella and any of the tiger-humans who have magic capabilities to help me with handling the coven. Mark would probably be exempted from it given his wife was going to have his children and he needed to protect them. I'd definitely have to face the vampires at the docks as it was to make it safe for Isabella and the others to get over here safely.
"No. Kaitlin Simon is no longer the coven leader of the Secluded Forest Coven. They kicked her out for risking their lives fighting your people, the werewolves, and the griffins. They lost a lot of members during that fight a while back where your people reclaimed Arilis." Azra said as she sighed. "Their new coven leader is an eighteen year old girl named May Xing. She's originally from a coven out in Asia but came over to help the Secluded Forest become restructured. Her entire family are coven leaders or prospective coven leaders. She's also a battlemage too."
I frowned and moved my left leg over the other. I could try to travel to the Secluded Forest University to contact the coven, but I would be in trouble if they turned out to be with the vampires. I frowned and looked over at Caleb. I wonder what he thought of all of this.
"Azra, thank you for coming and giving us this information. We'll figure out what to do with it." I said as I stood up and held my hand out to her.
Azra took my hand and shook it before leaving the office. I turned and sat on the desk, looking directly at Caleb. Caleb raised a brow as he looked at me and moved to sit in the chair that I had just been sitting in.
"Everything okay?" He asked me.
"What are your thoughts on Azra, the vampire situation at the docks, Michael bringing back my mother, and the Secluded Forest Coven?" I asked him.
Caleb stared at me in shock before looking around. He then looked back at me and chuckled to himself. He must be finding it hard that I'm asking his opinion or that I am bothering to ask anyone's opinion on the situations we have.
"Well, Azra gave us a lot of information and I'm not sure I can trust her even though she did help us escape the Snowharpy estate. She seemed too comfortable giving us all this information without sending a letter, an email, or calling ahead. She just showed up and gave us this information. It's sort of suspicious how she was so willing, so I don't trust her that much." Caleb said as he scratched the back of his neck.
