𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐕𝐈𝐏𝐄𝐑, 𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙫

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐔𝐄

it was the 30th October at approximately half an hour to midnight and ethan morgan came up with the idea to invite his friends over. they were planning on watching some tacky horror movie called 'psycho' that he found in his dads old dvd movie sets up in the attic.

almost everybody had arrived, except from one girl who is always never on schedule. "rory, call erica and see why she's late" ethan instructed him and he was on it straight away.

the phone rang for a couple of seconds before the voice of erica came through "what do you want?" she asked, annoyance in her tone "ethan wants to know why you aren't over already, he said to be here by ten"

there was silence for a few seconds before she came back with a reply "i don't think i'm coming, i really need a shower" she sighed, causing rory to furrow his brows in confusion at how that was even a good excuse "okay... so shower and then come over"

"um, my mom and dad are out of town for the night so i am not risking getting taken out by a creepy man in the shower" erica's response made it seem a completely valid reason that rory should've thought about without her even having to explain.

"i'll take you out" here rory goes, he does not have the capacity to talk to erica without making less than one flirty comment "first of all, that's not how i meant it. second of all, thanks, but no thanks" she crinkled her face up in disgust at the mere thought of ever dating rory.

"she is so frustrating" rory slammed the phone down on the couch like a little kid and lit up a cigarette, taking it outside to smoke.

"erica, if you bail tonight i am not helping you on your school assignment!" sarah shouted down the phone as she took a seat where rory once was on the couch "fine, i'll see you in a minute". beeping signalled that the phone call had ended and the group looked at each other in accomplishment that they'd managed to get everyone together for once.

as soon as erica made it there, she just had to take one look at the film they were getting ready to play and start complaining. ethan was adamant that they watch the film so it was put on anyways.

"this is the perfect example of horror." ethan morgan spat out with a huge smile on his face, earning disinterested looks from two others.

"oh c'mon, it doesn't even look real..." replied an annoyed benny weir, followed along with an "agreed" from erica. they had both raised their hands for this new movie insidious, that they'd already watched many times since it came out, but they were outvoted.

"yeah but this started it all, we wouldn't have "insidious" if it weren't for this movie" he mocked at them both, putting extra sarcasm onto the title.

erica mocked him whilst benny let out a scoff, he was fed up of ethan and his constant obsession with movies and the fact he is weirdly possessive over them.

"hey guys, yanno what?" sarah muttered.
"yeah?" the trio questioned in reply
"how about you shut the fuck up and just watch?" sarah rolled her eyes, earning an over exaggerated laughter from rory keaner.

"lets just watch this and then after we will put on 'insidious' so you two can stop being babies" sarah chuckled after copying ethans mocking of the title.

"is that a deal?" erica looked over to ethan for approval, extending a hand for him to seal it "yep" he conjoined their hands and they shook on it.

this was the beginning of the end.
