𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 - 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐇

sarah fox lay in her hospital bed, her arm laced in bandages. she stared up at the ceiling, thinking back on what had happened. she couldn't believe that she'd been attacked by a sadistic killer in
her own school hallway.

was nowhere safe anymore?

she heard a knock on the door and turned to see her friend erica jones walking in. erica pouted at seeing her best friend in this state as she walked over to her hospital bed.

"how are you feeling?" erica asked, delicately stroking the bandages. sarah attempted to force a smile. "i'm okay," she spoke, her voice weak. "i just can't believe this happened. i never imagined that someone could be so cruel." erica nodded "i know. it's terrifying. but we have to be strong. we can't let this monster win."

the two friends talked for a while, discussing the killer and the recent death of their teacher. sarah couldn't believe that this sicko was lurking and killing innocent people, she felt a strange mix of anger and sadness. continuing with their conversation, sarah heard another knock on the door. this time, it was ethan, benny, and rory. they walked in with worry covering their expression.

"hey sarah." ethan said, his face scrunching up when looking at the blood seeping through the bandages "how are you feeling?" sarah forced a smile for them all "i'm doing okay. it hurts, but at least i'm alive."

as the group tried to divert from a conversation about the current situation going on in their town, sarah's doctor entered the room. he smiled at the group and checked sarah's wound, noting that it had healed up nicely.

"sarah," the doctor started, "you're free to go. you'll need to keep your arm wrapped for a while, but the healing process is going very smoothly."

a sense of relief washed over sarah. she couldn't wait to get out of the hospital and back to her normal life.

well...as normal as it can be now.

she thanked the group for coming to visit and hugged each of them tightly. they promised to stay in touch and to keep each other safe.

as sarah walked out of the hospital, she felt a sense of optimism wash over her. she knew that she had a great group of friends who would always be there for her, and she was beyond grateful for that.

as she stepped through the threshold of the hospital doors into the outside world and felt the warm rays of sun upon her skin, she knew that life would never be the same again.

but she was ready to face whatever the future held, knowing that with the right people by her side, they could all work together to figure out who this monster is and stop him from making another move.

approaching ericas house, the five friends decided to chill there for a while, theres always safety in numbers. ericas parents were out getting their weekly shopping so erica said it would be good to hang there.

entering the house, they all decided on sitting in the living room. rory swtiched the TV on, wanting to watch spongebob or something of the sort, but when the TV was turned on, the group couldn't stop watching.

the five friends were all huddled in erica's living room, their eyes fixated on the television screen. the infuriating news reporter, lucia sunking, was reporting on the latest victim of the serial killer that had been terrorizing their small town.
