Introduction

What if Saera Targaryen's lineage continued on after fleeing to Volantis? Growing up in Essos, her granddaughter had always craved connection to those who also shared the blood of the dragon. Viserra finds herself being summoned to King's Landing under suspicious intentions, entering in an unstable realm complicated by an unspoken divide under the crown. Amidst all of the chaos, she is forced to navigate an unexpected pull between two of the Targaryen princes. Author's Note: Hi all! I am a book AND show girlie and will be taking pieces from both the books and the show. Please don't come at me for things being inaccurate, this is a fanfic after all. Things might be written as show canon or maybe book canon...who knows! I will twist things to fit the plot in my head as well. :)

For those who are solely the show watchers, Saera Targaryen was one of the very real daughters of Jaehaerys and Alysanne (Viserys and Daemon's grandparents). She did indeed flee to Volantis after quite a big scandal in the Keep. The ASOIAF wiki has a good details on both her and her sister Viserra for those that care to know their backstory. :)

On that note, enjoy! Enjoy the slow burn until chapter 6. From there on, it's a rollercoaster of plot, smut, and whatever else my brain conjures up at the moment.
