Viserra's heart raced as she watched her uncle slowly come to the conclusion she had hoped he would to benefit them all. His eyes did not leave hers, searching for the sincerity behind her offer and she refused to look away, needing him to see she meant every word she said.

Although he appeared visibly torn, the silence stretched on, feeling like an eternity had passed before he finally responded. "I would be proud to fight alongside my brother's daughter," he finally spoke, lowering his head into a small bow.

A sharp exhale left her lungs as soon as the words came from his mouth. She had not realized how much tension she had been holding onto until it unraveled after his answer. Describing it as relief felt like an understatement, and when she looked back at Daeron, she could see that he felt the same by the expression on his face.

Sheathing his sword, Daeron's body language became more welcoming as he came to stand at Viserra's side. "I am Prince Daeron Targaryen," he greeted with a nod.

"Call me Hugh."

Viserra smiled at the name, having been many years since she had even heard it uttered from someone's lips. "Call off your other dragon," she commanded. "And we will have your back if he does not see reason as you have."

"He will see reason," he answered with confidence. "I assure you this." He gave another nod before turning to return to his dragon.

Viserra watched him carefully, her eyes scanning for any hint of betrayal. A low growl from Rhyn pulled her attention back as if he too, could sense her unease. "Wait here," she spoke to Daeron. "Mount Tessarion and be ready if you are needed. I will join them to ensure he holds to his word."

Daeron nodded with a furrowed brow watching her as she climbed into the saddle. They were putting their faith in him somewhat blindly, both hopeful but cautious until proved otherwise.

Rhyn was up and through the clouds before she knew it. The sunlight above was blinding for a moment before her eyes adjusted, revealing Aemond and Vhagar holding off the smaller dragon and his rider with ease.

Aemond's attention darted to her as soon as she came into view and she waved him in her direction in response. She hoped he understood it meant that things were heading in the right direction and to pull back while Hugh worked on getting the attention of the other dragonrider.

Viserra was pleased when he understood, pulling Vhagar back almost immediately. She glanced over at the other large dragon, watching as Hugh circled the other in an attempt to communicate their complete change in plans. She was not sure of their dynamic, but could only imagine flying Vermithor would give him the upper hand in their decisions.

After minding their place in the sky for a short while, it became clear as soon as the tides turned in their favor. It seemed surreal to think they might now be a force of five dragons. But when Daeron rejoined them in the skies and took the lead heading back to fly over Tumbleton, she was now eager for what this meant for their chances at eventually retaking King's Landing.

Each of the dragons took turns unleashing flames upon the town below. It took mere minutes before a large part of Tumbleton was engulfed in fire. Somehow, it all felt too easy and Viserra did not want to let the last little bit of apprehension go. But as the Hightower forces pressed onwards, the gates of the city fell, the town's defenders quickly turned their efforts into escaping.

The panic spread through the streets as soldiers abandoned their posts and smallfolk ran from their homes in a desperate attempt to survive the attack. Viserra watched as the chaos unfolded beneath her, her heart again pounding in her chest. She had not yet experienced such destruction, especially not by her own hands.
