I fled down the halls the wind blowing my cape as I kept looking behind me turning sharp corners, Fran was close behind clenching her sword in one hand with her eyes fixated on my every move. I ran down another corridor to the doors at the end of it and grasped the handles yanking with all my might but they wouldn't budge, my heart skipped a beat as I knew I couldn't turn anywhere,

"No where to run now" I looked over my shoulder and leaned across the door, Fran was at the other end of the corridor barely out of breath with her hood up spinning her sword round through her fingertips

"Why are you even here?" I managed to say through my breaths "I haven't done anything to you or your kingdom!"

"You're so naive-" Fran said slowly walking towards me "You've taken everything from me"

......
Running down the corridors not too far behind was Aiden, he was one of the few that slipped past the crowd just in time to see where Fran had run off to, he had lost sight of her and was now going off his gut instinct turning corners just hoping he would find us and to his luck he heard familiar voices. He followed the sound and in no time found the corridor we were down, he stopped for a minute to catch his breath and drew out his sword, he was about to go down when something held him back: those words.

"You have everything that I want! We live in fear because of you! My own father sees me as unworthy and my people have no heart" Fran said from around the corridor letting a tear escape her eye.

The princess of Ellesmere was always seen as a threat to this kingdom or so he'd been taught- those words unlocked a new emotion in him that he'd never felt before, he could feel it taking over his body but he didn't know what it was, he gripped his sword harder trying to fight it

"My whole entire life has been thrown away because you strike fear into MY people" Fran yells.

Aiden's body untensed, he stayed close to the wall making sure he wasn't seen as he listened in, he felt sympathy, he felt guilt.
........

"I haven't even done a single thing to you or your kingdom!" I yelled back

"That's where your wrong" Fran said calmly "Have you ever just had the urge to kill someone, like you genuinely want them to suffer with every bone in your body you don't want them to exist in this world anymore!"

With that Fran swung her sword towards me, I dodged out the way and grabbed a sword that was being displayed on the wall, Fran swung at me again, our swords clashing again and again, I ducked for a second time while I blocked off an attempt to my stomach, Fran didn't take her sword away and instead pressured them together pushing me downwards with her sword on top

"Do you really think you can kill me?" I ask

"I know I can" Fran said

She raised her sword again but I quickly got on my feet and blocked it off, the sounds of clashing swords filling the corridors as our capes spun around with us as we fought, Fran spun her sword around mine causing me to lose grip as my sword slipped out of my fingertips and slid across the floor, Fran smirked as I started to walk backwards

"What will killing me grant you? You'll be sentenced to death" I say

"I'd rather die knowing I pardoned my kingdom of you then you still lurking in the cracks" Fran said,
swinging her sword above her head

Suddenly the double doors that were locked previously burst open and in came running the general and some soldiers holding swords and bow and arrows, Fran turned around as one of them shot an arrow at her. The arrow flew through the air heading straight towards Fran's neck, without hesitating Fran caught the arrow inches close to piercing her and looked up at the solider and smirked
