Though Samantha is wounded, the strength she grants Rava numbs the pain, and for smaller wounds, it heals them quickly. Though few of them are "small" wounds. Even still she is the most capable of the group, both in strength and knowledge of the base. The alarms of the base still blare with Samantha still on the loose. Though with the device in her head is broken, they cannot activate the sleep protocol on her, so they have to bring her down by force. Though with what happened in the corridor of the red cells, they doubted they'd have many attempts at such an act.
"We need to get you out of here, you are in no condition for another fight," Milo says as she looks behind the group to ensure they aren't being followed.
"I must agree Samantha, we took much more damage than necessary," Rava confirms.
"I'm aware, we can get outside through those doors, then we can make our way to the walls and I can fly us out," Samantha announces her plan, though not very fleshed out. At the end of the hall they were in was a set of double doors. It would have to do, no use being subtle at this point.
Samantha cracks open the door, no one outside as far as she could see. Samantha steps outside, her friends close behind. Rava growls and extends a wing to cover the group and quickly brings them behind a wall. A large bullet rips through the space they were just in, and Rava's black wing fades away.
"Thanks." Samantha mumbles.
"That's strong enough to put a dent in my scales, we need to get rid of any snipers out here before they can move," Rava says and Samantha can feel the urge to look behind her where her friends are.
"Can you get to him?" Samantha mumbles.
"With pleasure." Rava growls.
Rava's black and smoky form wraps around Samantha and his wings half extend outwards. With two quick steps, Samantha runs out into the open before hopping into the air, now flying close enough to the ground she could stand if she wanted. Another heavy bullet whizzes through the air behind her. Rava flies through the parking lot straight at the tower built into the wall and weaves back and forth. When Rava reaches the base of the tower she flies straight up the tall wall. Rava spins in the air, another bullet narrowly missing him by a few inches. Rava extends an arm and his claw rips through the concrete tower until he rips clean through the sniper. Samantha hovers in place a moment, searching the area with her new height advantage. There were two other towers that could see their escape route.
Rava flaps his wings hard and floats backward, another bullet missing him. Rava swings forward and flies towards another tower, weaving back and forth, making shooting him impossible. When they whip around the tower, Rava spews fire from his mouth that consumes the top of the tower in a red and orange glow. Rava then flies to the second tower in question and completely blows through the top of it, sending glass, concrete, paper, and computers flying to the ground.
Samantha then quickly returns to her friends and lands in front of them. They are startled by her sudden reappearance but relax when they realize it is only her.
"It's time to go," Samantha says as her friends follow her once more. They move quickly to the wall, looking around for any extra danger. About halfway through the open space, a voice calls out from behind them.
"Leaving so soon?" Doctor Paul says, walking from the door they left through, leaning on his cane. Everyone's heads whip around to see him, and Samantha jumps over her group to land on all fours and growl at him.
"Doctor Paul." She growls, looking at him in her crouched stance.
"Here I thought you wouldn't leave any loose ends. Was that fight in the hallway really that much for you?" Doctor Paul smiles, coming to a stop with a dramatic tap of his cane.
