POV Luke

I woke up the next morning thinking that yesterday was a dream... but it wasn't.

I looked outside my bedroom door and saw my sister's empty room across the hall from mine. The only difference is it's going to stay empty and I'm never going to see her again.

I debated on weather or not to get up and I choose to get up. If I didn't then I would end up staying in bed all day thinking about what I could of done to save my sister.

I know it's not my fault but I just think somehow it is because I feel like being her twin there was still something I could have done.

I found myself walking into her empty bed room and sitting on her bed to look around and see how she left her room for the last time. It was clean and the wall opposite of the bed was covered with photos she has taken that was a collage of family, friends, and places she has visited.

One thing that caught my eye was her old guitar she had that she told me if I ever got bored or courious I could play it. The funny thing about us is that even though I'm the oldest my younger sister was super talented in the arts and honestly I always wished I had talent like that. Before she left she said I could sing well but I honestly thought she was just being nice to me because she was my little sister.

flashback

I was home alone and was just being the typical kid who sings when everyone is gone. So I decided to sing a drop in the ocean by Ron Pope. I loved that song but the only thing is when I turned around I saw my sister there smiling at me and clapping.

"That was amazing"

"Your just saying that" I told her blushing.

"Luke no I'm not your great at singing and you should share your voice with others."

"Lilly that's your thing not mine."

"It can be both of ours, I mean the world always loves hearing music"

"I guess" I said shrugging my shoulders. Out of the two of us Lilly was always more confident and sure of herself than I was so it was nice to have her because she helped me not doubt myself.

"Can we sing the song together? I'll play the guitar and we can film it" she asked. I was caught off guard.

"I'm not that good at singing and I don't want it to be posted on youtube."

"No I'm not posting it anywhere just filming it to prove to you that we can both sing. Beside I'll play the guitar and you said you love when I play guitar."

she was right there was just something about the way she played guitar that was so amazing. She had so much passion when she played and I wish I could play like that.

Flashback ended

I looked closer and I saw a note on the guitar. "Play whenever you get couriose about music. Love, Lilly"

I picked up the guitar and heard something in the inside and shook it until it feel out on the floor.

It was a flash drive with a note attached to it that said "play me when you doubt yourself"

I went to my room with the flashdrive and guitar in hand. I plugged the flashdrive into my laptop and saw Lilly appear on the screen from the last time she was home for Christmas.

"Hey Luke I know you don't believe me but you are amazing at singing, and if you found this that means you got courious about music which is great. So I made this flash drive for you to see how great you really are because we as people don't always see the talent we have and are always harder on ourselves. I love you Luke and I always will. Twins and best friends for life"

Oh how I wish she was still here I thought as I felt tears start to form in my eyes as I whipped them away.

It cut to me and here in her room. We were sitting on her bed and she had her guitar, I remember that day. That was the first time we sang together

"Hey guys my names Lilly ... Luke" she shoved me because I wasn't paying attention.

"I thought this was just a video for us to watch back later?"

"It is but we can still say who we are right?"

"yeah okay." I said, still unsure

"take two. Hey guys my names Lilly and I'm Luke and this is us singing A Drop in the Ocean by Ron Pope. Are you ready" she asked me

"As ready as I'll ever be" I said still unsure about this whole singing thing. But I trust my sister and with her by my side I feel like I can do anything with her.

We started singing and our voices actually sounded amazing together. We should sing more often...Oh wait that's right we can't anymore. I thought to myself with a frown on my face and more tears threatening to come out.

Then we ended and cut the video camera she had, or so I thought.

"See that wasn't so bad now was it" she said with a smile on her face, and she still had the video camera on because it was new and she was still getting the hang of it. Or knowing her she left it on because she wanted me to admit she was right.

"No your right, it was actually really fun. We should do this again some time?"

"Yeah I love that." she said with I smile. We actually did spend a lot of time singing after we filmed this.

Then the video ended on my laptop and you know what I'm going to learn guitar for my sister and make something of myself. Like she said I could always do, she was the only one that supported me on everything I did and knew that's I could sing. Now that she's not here anymore to push me I have to just be confident in myself. I'm going to learn guitar and become more confident in myself for her and myself.

Besides we always said how cool it would be to be in a band so who knows maybe that can actually happened to me. If Lilly was still here she would of for sure had her dream come true of being in a band, a sole artist, acting or modeling. But to be honest she would have all of that because she had a drive like no other and once she had a goal she worked her but off to get it. No matter how hard it seemed.
