The Runaway Twin

Chapter 6

When we got to Lusine and her friends house she wasn't joking when she said they had room for me. This house was bigger than I could of imagined and I couldn't be more grateful to her. I will for sure pay her and her friend back for their kindness they are showing me.

"Hi you must be Victoria, My name is Serene and this is my husband Mark" a women who looks like she could be my mom introduced herself to me.

After I meet them they showed me to one of their spare rooms and I changed into my pajamas and went to bed because I was exhausted. Tomorrow I'm going to look for a summer job because I want to be able to make something of myself here and I don't want to be a burden on Lusine, Serene, and Mark.

The next morning I woke up to someone cooking breakfast and it was the most confronting smell because my mom would do the same thing during the summer for me and my brothers. Lilly I mean Victoria... you really have to stop thinking about your family. I went down stairs still in my pajamas to find Serene making an amazing breakfast.

"morning sweetheart"

"morning"

"what are you going to do today?"

"umm... I was thinking I was going to try and look for a job this week"

"okay but make sure you come and eat breakfast first before you leave" she said. Believe me with how good her cooking smelled I don't think I will ever miss a meal here.

I sat down at the table and she handed me a plate full of breakfast. I looked the breakfast before me and realized how much I have missed a nice home cooked meal. It tasted amazing and didn't know how hungry I was until I started eating.

"I'm glade you like the food"

"it's amazing" I said and she laughed and just smiled at me. She was sitting at the table with a cup of tea looking at me like a caring mother. Honestly looking at her she looks more like my mom then my real one. We both have the same eye color, skin color, and now hair color.

"Do you know what kind of job you want to look for?"

"umm...maybe something to do with music would be nice? Like a music store or something like that would be cool. Especially since I'm going to be attending a school for music, singing and acting because that's the reason I came to London."

"There's an HMV store around here in London that I know the owner of. If you want I can call him right now and tell him about you? Besides the last time I talked to him he was trying to find new employees? "

"that would be great thank you"

"okay go ahead and finish your breakfast and I'll call the store. When your ready to go and I'll take you to the HMV store to apply for a job"

"okay. Thank you"

With that I finish my breakfast and ran up the stairs to take a shower and get ready to leave to go to the HVM store with Serene. I'm so happy to have meet these people and there kindness is more than I can imagine.

We both went to the car to get ready to leave and go off to this HMV store that I hope to work at for the summer.

*skip car ride and now at the HMV store

"Hey Serene long time no see"

"Yeah. Not like I saw you last week or anything"

"I always love hearing your sarcasm. And who is this? " he asked looking at me.

"Victoria this is Tom, he's one of my best friends. This is the girl I was telling you about over the phone."

"It's very nice to meet you Tom" I said as I shook the mans hand. He looked surprised by my politeness.

"It's great to meet you Victoria so Serene told me your looking for a job."

"Yes that's correct, but if you don't need anymore help you don't have to give me a job"

Tom looked at me surprised again like he didn't expect to get this much politeness from a girl at age 14.

"Oh sweetheart. You got the job when you introduced your self to me by

shaking my hand. You'd be surprised by how many people I interview that don't introduce themselves like that and it's a key selling point for me"

"Oh my gosh really? Thank you so much" I told him.

"Can you start tomorrow? That way you can start training?"

"Yes of course. I'll be here"

"Great see you tomorrow. And Serene thanks for helping me out by introducing me to Victoria because I was worried I wasn't going to be able to find anyone."

"Anytime Tom and she's going to do great." Serene told him.

With that we left the HMV store that I am now an employee to and I could not believe it. I'm obsessed with music and know how to play 4 instruments so this is heaven to a music lover like myself. Maybe coming here was the right decision after all, everything is starting to fall into place.

I looked at my phone and opened the world clock to see that my plane from LA to Australia will be landing today and I just hope to make everything easier on my parents that one of them sees the package before they go to airport as a family. I really hope they just let me go and I didn't disappoint them by leaving.
