I was just cleaning up the shop, waiting for my grandson, Yugi to come home. I heard the bell ring, I turned around to see Yugi. I smiled.

"Hey Grandpa!" Yugi greeted happily.

"Hello Yugi. How was school?" I asked. Yugi smiled.

"Great. We got to see photos of students that graduated. I noticed that a girl in one of the photos has the same red scarf as you, grandpa. How come?" Yugi asked.

"Why don't we go upstairs and sit down. This story will be quite a long one. We walked upstairs and sat down.

"Now this is the story about how I met your grandmother." I explained.

"Grandmother?" He asked. I nod. "What was she like?"

"Yes. She was a beautiful young woman when I met her. It feels like yesterday when I met her..."

Years ago...

I was running late for class. Today was a field trip to a museum of ancient Egypt. I got there just in time and hopped on the bus. I sat down and didn't realize I was sitting net to someone. She had gorgeous e/c eyes. Silky h/c and s/f/c hair. She was also wearing a red scarf, wrapped around her neck. She looked at me and smiled.

"Hello! I'm Y/n L/n! I just moved here." She beamed. She had a lovely smile.

"H-hi. I'm Solomon Moto. Welcome." I shyly said. I wasn't much of a talkative person. But I do manage.

"Solomon...it suits you." She said.

"Y/n also suits you too.." I replied.

"Do you want to be friends? It's okay if you don't want too..." Y/n said looking down. I smiled happily.

"I would love to be your friend! I was hoping I would get a friend!" I said. Y/n looked at me and smiled. She wrapped her arms around me and gave me a huge hug. I hugged back. There was a pause until we both started laughing. We talked for the whole bus ride. We both had similar interests. We liked playing board games, reading ancient history and other things.

After that, we became the best of friends. We would always hang out after school and during school. It was more interesting with her around. Through the months, I started falling for her. She was just amazing. If a bully did something to me, she would do exactly what they did to me and we would just laugh it off and if we got hurt which was most of the time, the nurse would be confused and smiled anyway. I was so much fun. The bullies would look at us like we were crazy and make fun of us but Y/n...well. She'll act confused or doesn't care. She'll ignore them until they do something they would regret. She was like the light in the very pitch black world.

Anyway, it was Monday evening and the news was on. I walked over to sit next to dad on the couch until I heard something strange.

"Tonight has been tragic. On the way home from school, a girl that goes by the name Y/n L/n was hit by a drunk driver. The police are investergating the accident while Ms. Y/n is being sent to the hospital..."

I was now in shock. I felt tears running down my face. Mum and dad looked at me and were now worried. They knew Y/n. I grabbed my coat and ran out the door. Mum ran after me while dad stayed behind. I kept running. Mum following behind. We arrived at the hospital and ran to the front desk.

"Do you know which room Y/n L/n is in?" I asked. The lady at the front desk looked at me and saw my tears.

"She just got here. The doctors amd nurses are trying everything. Her parents are here. Just look for them down the hall." She said. I thanked her and ran down the hall. I saw Y/n parents and they looked at me. Y/n mum walked to me amd gave me a hug. I cried and felt something go around my neck. It was her red scarf.
