Other than receiving a very mocking letter from Susan the rest of Mia's days were fun and full of laughter to the point that she would almost resent going back to Hogwarts and leaving the Burrow behind. Of course, her thoughts didn't help her being crushed by Adalina Bones' hug. The woman seemed to be determined to knock all the air from her lungs. All Mia could do was give funny looks to Susan over her shoulders. Susan wasn't of help either as she stood there eating her share of the promised chocolate frogs while snickering at Mia's red face. She would get to it later.

"For the millionth time, Mrs. Bones, I really feel okay. I wasn't hurt back then but I might if you keep squeezing me." The woman immediately let her go before giving her a package from a candy shop in Diagon Alley. "Thank you."

"Don't thank me, sweetheart, that is nothing. I picked out some sugar quills as well. I remember you tried to sneak some out of the kitchen with Suzie when you stayed over." Mia grinned widely at the memory of making eye contact with Susan again. The blonde girl had the same expression. They weren't exactly the type to stay where you put them. "Okay," Adalina, checked her watch. "I need to leave now but behave yourselves at school, won't you? Susan, I don't want any letters from Professor Sprout and Mia, try and keep yourself out of trouble, will you?"

They shared another group hug before Adalina left and they were approached by a very enthusiastic Hannah Abbot. The girl literally jumped on Susan, talking about how she missed her during the holiday as Mia listened with a smile. Hannah was a nice girl, obviously, she is a Hufflepuff, and she shared a dorm with Susan who was the main reason that they knew each other. Mia would often greet her as they passed each other in the halls and even shared a seat with her last year at Muggle Studies. It was nice for her to know people that were her friends rather than her brother's friends.

"Hey, Mia!" Hannah gave her a side hug too. "Susan told me you were at the Quidditch World Cup and I was so surprised to hear it because I was there too. I didn't even see you."

"You were?" Mia was surprised by the fact. She didn't get Hannah for a Quidditch lover but it seemed she was wrong at that. "Did you see the world going mad too?"

"No, fortunately, my dad and I left as soon as the match ended due to a family gathering early the next day. Heard you were there though, glad you weren't injured." She replied with a sympathetic smile, making Mia nod in appreciation.

"Susan, Hannah!" the three girls turned to see who it was. Justin Finch-Fletchley was waving frantically at them. Well, not to Mia obviously, since he developed a disliking for the girl after Harry's parseltongue speech to the snake in their second year. He still believed that it was intentional and Harry tried to make the snake attack him so Mia avoided any type of interaction with him. "Come on, Zach got us a compartment."

"Oh, Merlin!" Susan said, rolling her eyes as she looked at Mia. "I hate how he ignores you all the time, such a thickheaded boy."

"It's okay Suz, it's not like I throw myself at his feet or anything." she chuckled at the thought. "You should probably go before he turns red with anger. I must return and make fun of Harry crushing on a Ravenclaw he had been talking about all summer." both the girls giggled. "I'll see you both at breakfast tomorrow so we can match our programs to see if we have anything together."

"Yeah, sounds good!" they agreed before leaving to meet Justin at one of the doors of the train. Mia sighed before putting her pack of sweets in her bag. She was so glad that she was blessed with Adalina because Merlin knew how long she could get without any chocolate frogs to help her get out of her miserable crying breaks during homework. She absolutely deserted homework, especially in Arithmetics. She was glad that she passed the class with an acceptable grade so she didn't have to take it again this year. She walked up to the closest entrance to the train watching the first years say goodbye to their parents. She smiled over it, she wished she had someone to say goodbye to. She even saw a girl cry over leaving home. It was a feeling she could never understand because it never felt like home with Dursleys.
