"Hurry up Mia!" Cho Chang and Lisa both had been waiting patiently for fifteen minutes but their patience was wearing thin, especially Lisa's since Cho wouldn't say anything even if she was annoyed. Mia finally closed her book and got up, gathering her bag quickly. "We're about to be late for DADA."

"I know I know but I had to finish the chapter!" she defended herself as they exited the Common Room. Cho raised one of her eyebrows at her. The only reason that she was here was that Mia had promised to be her desk mate and she had thought it to be polite to wait for her but she wasn't even sure if there was an empty seat that they could sit together anymore.

"You have been reading for fifteen minutes, Euphemia." surprisingly it was Cho who gave out a sigh. Mia rolled her eyes at it as Lisa giggled.

"It was an exceptionally long chapter! There's no blame on me that you both agreed to wait for a couple of minutes when I asked you." They were now rushing down the stairs of Ravenclaw Tower. Mia secretly knew that she was to blame but she would never confess it to anyone.

"Yeah, cause fifteen means a couple," Lisa muttered to herself but both of the other girls heard her anyways. Mia chose peace and let her remark snide as Cho rushed before them all, almost running the corridor that led to the classroom. "Damn it, Chang! Wait for us so we can endure the talk together!"

Mia just held onto her bag tighter and ran after Cho, leaving Lisa back as the brunette struggled to keep up with both Quidditch players. It was safe to say Mia was an athletic girl even though she was only a spare member of the team as a chaser. She was aware she could be a full-time player if she tried enough but between classes, staying alive, and her 'light readings' she couldn't care less. In the moment of need, she would step up to save Ravenclaw and that was all the Captain could ever expect from her.

"Professor Ala-Oh, tardiness!" The man snapped at three girls the moment they opened the door. Mia bravely walked in followed by Cho and a very frustrated-looking Lisa but didn't pick a seat, standing and waiting for his upcoming speech. "Wouldn't expect that from three Ravenclaws like you but let me make it clear before you get seated. From now on, tardiness won't be accepted!" the three girls flinched a little at the sudden rising tone of his alongside some other students. "For the sake of both yours and mine first weak you don't get detention but thirty points from Ravenclaw. If it happens one more time, forget about taking a good grade. Now, Potter, go sit next to Malfoy. Turpin you with Mr.Goldstein and Chang with Miss.Abbott."

"But-"

"No buts or more points will be taken!" Mia was forced to shut up as she threw an apologetic smile at Cho, who turned her head away in a dismissive matter. She had just ruined her brother's chances with the girl. 'Good job, Mia, real smooth.' she mentally scolded herself, throwing her bag at Draco Malfoy's lap and turning to lock eyes with her brother. Harry, as opposed to expected, was wearing a grin on his face. Mia raised her eyebrow at him only for him to point out the girl in his front seat. Cho was sitting in his front seat! Well, that was a victory Mia would say.

"Can I ask why did you throw this at me?" Draco whispered as she turned to look at Professor again. Mia took her bag back with a tight-lipped smile, she fluttered her eyes at him in a cute manner.

"No." he was about to say another thing but he was cut short by Moody.

"As I was saying, Professor Alastor Moody." his tone was stern as his weird eye watched them closely before turning to write it on the board. "Ex-auror. Ministry malcontent and your new defense against the dark arts teacher. I'm here because Dumbledore asked me, end of the story, goodbye. The end." He was a bit dramatic, Mia concluded. "Any questions?"

"Yes actually," she started when nobody said anything, probably intimidated by his looks and strange eye, Mia was not. He turned all of his attention to her. "How does your magical eye work? It's not your real eye obviously and I want to know if it's a dark object or if it was charmed."
