The sound of music: 8

So tonight’s the showcase, exactly 8:00 pm. I still have 3 hours to get ready; I have decided on singing blow me (one last kiss) by pink. Clean of course. I think people will enjoy that more than a ballad like turning tables and I want Tristan to see whose loss it really is. Haha! So mean I know.

I have practiced for about an hour and a half now so I now only have an hour to get ready and 30 minutes to get to the school so I need to get to work like now.

I headed straight for my bathroom and took a shower. When done, I headed for my closet to get the dress that I bought just for this occasion. It was a black and pink dress, only goes to my mid thigh and sparkles everywhere. (author’s note: the dress on the side is what jazz is wearing)

I applied dark eye shadow to make my eyes pop and give it the smoky effect, mascara, pale pink lipstick and eyeliner. I curled my hair, only on the tips, and placed pink clip-ons to it.

I didn’t wear much jewelry, just a few bangles, a diamond studded necklace and matching earrings.

By the time I was done it was already 7:20 so I grabbed my phone, purse and car keys and headed downstairs. I decided I was going to drive my new car today, not to show off or anything but I do really like it.

Before I went out I glanced at the mirror one last time to make sure I looked alright, well, damn, I look great. Woow shallow much?

So yeah after the self appreciation I did I went to the driveway as Brent was getting my car.

When he finally arrived I didn’t waste anymore time and drove off.

When I arrived at the parking lot I saw Jace’s new car, yes the one still identical to mine only black, which means he’s already here.

I didn’t even see him leave the house or even heard a car leaving.

Maybe I was too busy to notice.

I looked at my phone to check the time and it turned out that it’s 7:55 only 5 minutes left.

I ran as fast as I could in my 5 inch black stiletto heels to the school theater.

To my astonishing luck I made it just on time, with one minute to spare.

Good thing I made it cause I was the opening act.  It would’ve been a disaster if I were late.

The program started with a speech from our principal Mrs. Carter. While waiting for her to finish I feel someone tap my shoulder. I turned around to see who it was and to my absolute misfortune it was Ash. Well, maybe not. I kinda liked seeing him. In a way.

Wait? Ewwwww!

He flashed me with this amazing smile, I could tell it was sincere so I gave one back.

Is he bipolar or something?

“goodluck out there” he said.

“Thanks you too”

“thanks, so uhm I heard you turned down Tristan’s offer”

“how did you know that?”

“He told me”

“oh, uhh yeah, -..” I was about to say something when my name was called.

It’s time.

“You’ll do great” he whispered.

I just smiled and headed for the stage.

I liked the feeling of being on a stage, it’s like my sanctuary.
