Chapter 14 - Date night

I am a bit disappointed in you because you guys haven't given me as much votes as you usually do but because I am such a wonderful person (Note sarcasm) I decided it was time to give you an update. It also may have to do with the fact that you guys have been awesome and this chapter got up to 100 reads really fast and I was so happy when I saw how many reads it had.

Chapter 14 - Date night.

(Ruby's P.O.V.)

The door bell rings, bringing the pacing women in my room to a stop instantly while whipping their heads too look at me.

"He's here!!!!" Rose whisper yells, making sure he wont hear even when we all know he can hear us perfectly fine.

"I will go get the door. Girls go and wait in the living room and Ruby you stay in here till I tell you to come down." Lily instructs.

The girls nod and head down whilst I just give a mock salute before walking over to look at myself in the mirror as she heads down the stairs to open the door for my mate.

A smile appears on my face, as it does every time i think of those two words together. But then again, what woman in their right mind wouldn't smile when thinking about their mate, especially if they are as good as my mate.

I freeze in my thinking when I take a look at myself in the mirror.

My long red hair is falling down my back in perfect curls. My purple strapless dress falls perfectly to knee hight with a black satan ribbon at my waist.

Ribboned sandals atone my feet and not really adding much to my small frame.

'Ruby!!!' Lily yells through the mind link.

I guess thats my cue.

I walk down the stairs and into the living room where Zayn, Ross, Lily, Rose, Zoe, Shelly, Jack, the guys and Roman are sitting on the couches chatting about school and work when Zayn jumps up.

"Wow..." He breathes as I walk into the room.

Everyone turns to me and the guys have their mouths open and drooling (all but Roman) and the girls had massive grins on their faces.

"You look stunning Lil red!" Brock finally breaks the silence.

I felt the blood rush to my cheeks and a shy smile pinch at the corners of my mouth.

Zayn holds out his arm.

"Shall we?"

I take his arm and giggle at how formal and old fashioned he is.

We drive off and after a few minutes I couldn't take it any longer.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"Its a surprise." He answers with a wink.

I pout and his hands tighten on the steering wheel as his eyes flash back to the road and he groans.

"Please don't do that love. You know I cant resist it."

I get a glimmer in my eye and smirk a little.

"That could be why I am doing it babe."

He groans again before saying in a serious tone

"Its a surprise, end of story."

I sigh because there was no way I was going to win this argument.

"Okay."

He grins wickedly before pulling to a stop in what looks like the middle of nowhere.

"Okay, close your eyes and I will look after you. Don't open them until I say." He commands and I Close my eyes.

I count the steps as we walk and soon we come to a stop in soft ground and I could strangely hear the ocean like it was right there.

"You can open your eyes now."

So I do so and what I see takes my breath away.

A little private beach. The beautiful blue ocean with small waves rolling in. A blanket was carefully laid out on the sand, surrounded by candles and a basket in the middle that was overflowing with food along with a few pillows on the blanket.

I turn and look at my wonderful mate.

"You did all this for me?"

He nods his head and blushes.

I run to where he is and kiss him.

After a few minutes he pulled back with bewilderment on his face, clearly not expecting this reaction.

"What was that for?"

"To say thank you." I say and smile.

He returns the smile and leads me over to the blanket and we eat a delicious dinner.

"Happy one month Anniversary my beautiful mate!" Zayn says as he pulls a box out from the picnic basket.

I take it and carefully open it up only to gasp.

"This is beautiful! Thank you so much!" I gush over the simple yet elegant silver ring inside the velvet box with its blood red ruby in the middle.

"I'm glad you like it. This is me making a promise. I know you are only sixteen so thats why I am not asking you to marry me but I will promise you this. I will always be here for you no matter what and I just want you to know that I love you Ruby."

My mind freezes because he said those three little words. Those three little words that neither of us have said up until this moment and my heart literally skipped a few beats.

"I love you too Zayn. I really do. And this is for you." I pull out my velvet box and hand it to him.

He opens it up and his eyes go wide.

"You shouldn't have but It is wonderful." He says while pulling out the black leather bracelet I got for him laced in gold.

"This is my promise to you. That I shall never leave you and that I will always love you no matter what."

We look at each other with our tearful eyes and lean in for a passionate kiss that had us gasping for breath after what seemed like an eternity.

"I kind of also brought this beach, just for us. I also named it after you. You will see why in just a moment." He adds sheepishly and I giggle again.

I Look towards the sky my mind confused as to why he was saying that when dusk arrived and the sky turned a ruby red.

"Wow..." I sigh in contentment and snuggle up against Zayn.

"You really like it?" I nod and he kisses my the top of my head.

"Thank you Zayn, for everything."

I say and settle down to watch the fireworks that were now going on above us.

Turns out that I got a little too comfy because a moment later I was drifting to sleep in my mates arms and for once, I slept with no dreams and no nightmares what so ever.
