'A complication'

(Ruby's P.O.V)

They continued to stare at each other and it wasn't long before they began walking towards each other and I knew that we were in for a bumpy ride from now on.

"Mate." Roman whispers and Lily smiles shyly.

Then Roman leans in and kisses my best friend.

For some reason I couldn't look away, I guess its just me being protective and making sure that he doesn't hurt her like Zayn hurt me.

Then suddenly she pulls back.

"I can't, your just going to hurt me." she told Roman

"I don't understand. What did I do?" Roman told her.

"Just tell me, accept or reject. Your choice." She says while looking down .

"Why on earth would I reject you? Unlike my buddy over there," he indicates to Zayn,

"I am not stupid. Of course I will accept you!"

At this Lily looks up at him.

"You do?"

"Of course I do. Wait, how so you know about this stuff?"

"That, you can learn about later. For now..." She trails off as she remembers everyone else around her.

Zayn looks pale and is about to say sometning but then thinks better of it.

"Dude, you look like you have seen a ghost."

"I think I just did. Ruby..." Zayn gets cut off by a gasp from the rest of the populars.

I turn to look at them, annoyed.

"Ruby? As in, geek?" Zoe asks me.

I roll my eyes and risist the massive urge to face palm.

(Brittany's P.O.V.)

"Are you kidding me?!?" I scream.

He has to be joking.
