As I hugged myself with the tin foil blanket I was given, I watched as my sisters body was wheeled out of the apartment, a blank, white sheet covering her face and body. I shiver, attempting to once again hold back tears.
"Do you know where your father is?"
My mind goes blank as I look up at the police officer.
"Huh?"
"Do you remember where your father is? Or your mother? Or you know, a legal guardian? I was told you have a father, that's why I was asking."
"Oh,"
I allowed silence to fall as the ambulance transported my sisters body drove away. I wasn't allowed to go with her without my dad being here.
"So? Do you know where anyone is,"
"No. I'm alone now." I say blankly, staring straight ahead into the darkness of the night. I wanna die.
"Where are you going to stay then?"
"I don't fucking know everything," I scoff refusing to look anyone in the eye. I need to get out of here. I just need to run.

My heart thuds as I get single-handedly the most stupid idea ever. That portal I saw before I came running here. I could just go in there!

My eyes widen with glee. It felt like such a rush, I'd get away, I might even die.

I drop the tin foil blanket from around my body and suddenly start to run into the apartment building.
The loud yells of people behind me turning into nothing but mumbles as I keep running up the stairs, my hands squished into sweaty fists at my sides as I get to my apartment door.

Squeezing my eyes shut, I dodge under the police tape and briskly walk into my room. I'm leaving. What do I bring? I look around my room, searching for anything that actually matters, refusing to even look at my bed or acknowledge the smell of death in my room. A picture of my sister, ok. I rummage for a backpack in my dingy closet as the sounds of yells nearing my room brought me back to reality. I need to be quicker.

As my bag packing suddenly turned to blind panick, I shoved my spider-woman suit into my bag along with pink nail polish, my phone charger, my phone, underpants, a thong and a bottle of water.
Only the essentials.

"Y/N WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" The yells made me stomach drop to the floor as I remember the gravity of this situation, but it all only made me want to run more.

I jump from out of my open window, shooting a Web to hit just above the top of my window, swinging myself into the wall but stopping the impact with my feet, then suddenly dropping to the floor, landing in a squat and then running for my life.

Police sirens, horn beeping, and people shouting were all just noises behind me, and I didn't want any of them to catch up to me.

I sprinted across roads, narrowly dodging cars and other pedestrians as I ran.

I had no thoughts other than to run as my feet slapped on the hard concrete.

Suddenly, I was back on that same road, ignoring every thought in my body, I jumped over the fence that divided the road from a field and lay, once again, in the tall grass. I let the mass of the whole situation finally settle on me. My sisters dead.

I breathe out shakily, knowing that the police are going to catch me eventually.

Wait for the portal. My eyes widen with hope as I snap up, where the fuck is it?

Suddenly the sky ripped open once again, colours of voilet, blue and navy coloring the sky.

"YES!" I couldn't help but cry out loud.

"Y/N MOON PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!"

They're only police though. They aren't going to stop me. I roll my eyes as they tell me to step away from the portal thingy in the sky.

"Y/N COME HERE AND NO ONE ELSE WILL BE HARMED"

"OK, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING FIRST THOUGH!" I yell over the sound of thunder and wind.

"GO TO HELL!" I shout before flipping them off and running to climb a lamppost. After getting on the top of the lamppost within seconds, I turned to see my city and the police below me.

"HER NAME WASNT SPIDER-WOMAN!" I shout so that they could hear me from my height, "IT WAS SILK-SPIDER AND SHE KICKED WAY MORE FUCKING ASS THAN ANY OF YOU!" with that I turned back around and leapt straight into the portal without another thought.
