CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO - ULTIMATE MYSTERY

I WAS WEARING A SILVER JACKET with a gray t-shirt underneath as I was currently with Amelia at an Area 62 site. "I know Pop-Pop doesn't like to talk about his past, but he promised he'd film this interview." Amelia said as she saw something in the distance. "Wait, is that. . . ?"

"Come on, kids! I'm ready for my close-up!" I heard Ed shout. "Roll camera!"

"No, over here. We want to do the interview in front of the fence." Amelia said.

"No way! Didn't you read the sign? 'Radiation'! Stay back! Gamma rays can make you grow a lizard tail! I like my butt the way it is!" Ed argued.

"We're fine outside of the fence!" Amelia reassured.

"Not a peep from the Geiger counter, so we're safe!" I added on.

"Ah. . . Well. . . Okay." Ed gave in, walking towards us.

"Hey, BuzzBlasters. Welcome back to another episode of Mystery Buzz. We are outside of the mysterious Area 62, an abandoned military base with a long history of government secrets. With us here today is my Pop-Pop. . ." Amelia paused, pulling Ed next to her as he waved. ". . .who once worked as a janitor at this infamous facility. Thanks for talking to BuzzBlast, Pop-Pop."

"Ah. . . I'm, um, happy to be here." Ed said quietly.

"Now, tell us. After all your years here, did you ever see any paranormal activity?" Amelia questioned.

"Oh, boy. Let me tell ya. Aliens, portals to alternate dimensions, visitors from the future. . ." Ed whistled. "No, didn't see any of it. And that's 'cause I was just a janitor. All I ever saw were floors, walls, and bathrooms. But they sure were dirty!" Ed laughed.

Amelia chuckled, not amused. Ed grabbed the microphone from her. "Wait, there was something. Once, late at night, I heard a terrible moaning. That's when I saw it. It was pale, it was white! It was like a ghost!" Ed exclaimed. "But it was just Dr. West in his lab coat. Yeah, he ate a bad, bad burrito."

Electronic beeping was heard. "That's the radiation alert! Run for your lives!" Ed shouted.

"Wait, it's just. . . It's just my phone. A viral video alert!" Stan called.

Ed rushed off as we chased after him. "Pop-Pop, it's not a radiation alert, it's just a phone!" Amelia reassured as Ed appeared.

"Radiation blotches! This is the end for me!" Ed sobbed as he kneeled on the ground.

"That's just blueberry juice from the blueberries on the blueberry bush you fell in." Amelia said.

Ed licked his arm. "Hmm, you're right! And they're tasty. Wanna try, anyone?" He offered.

I chuckled. "I think we're good, Pop-Pop."
