Another soul

Chapter 4

" Shattering video of Kate Davis crying after her lover Lara Evans died in a car crash." 

Lara read the first headline and pressed the button on the video.  It was recorded soon after the accident and was showing Kate crying over her dead body. Her heart ached deeply seeing her lover that broken. 

"Don't worry honey, we will meet again soon. I promise " 

She whispered while kissing the face of her lover on the screen. She breathed in to clear her thoughts and roaming feelings. It wasn't time to get sentimental. This girl's body isn't ugly and she's rich. It will be easy to go back to her old life. Lara went again to the bathroom to remember her new appearance. Emily was a pale-skinned girl with dark eyes. She was gorgeous even in a hospital gown. 

"She is perfect, " 

Lara thought. She pulled the UV from Emily's hand and walked back to her room. On the chair were Emily's clothes folded neatly. She didn't like them at all but she still changed into them since she had no other option. As soon as she wore them she noticed how uncomfortable they were. Lara sighed. 

The first thing she was going to do is go and buy new clothes and dye her hair black again. She got off her room and went to the reception. The nurse was quite surprised that she got off her bed and wanted to be registered as soon as possible. After signing some documents they set her free. Lara pulled out her phone. She searched for some shops and restaurants. Fortunately, Emily had enough money in her wallet. She then went to the nearest good location to eat something since she was starving.

Lara was now in Infront of her new family's home. She was already in new comfortable clothes she bought not long ago. She also didn't have this girl's usual makeup and jewelry on since she removed everything that annoyed her. She knocked on the big mansion door. Emily's mother opened it. 

" Emily! Why didn't you call us the whole day? We understand you want to hang out with your friends but you made us so worried!" 

Alisa looked on the verge of crying. 

" I'm sorry Mother. I lost track of time. It won't happen next time."

 Lara smiled gently looking at the panicked woman.  It looked like she dint know about the incident. Lara looked closer at her. Alice was a really beautiful woman and the signs of aging didn't change that at all. She had dark hair and wore colorful and elegant clothes. 

"What happened to your hair? And what are the clothes you are wearing right now? You look completely different." 

The women looked confused. 

" I'm trying to find a style that will fit me the most. It's a thing that most teenagers do." 

Lara replied.

 "Oh, I understand. " 

Alice nodded believing Lara's lie. Lara entered the mansion. It was similar in size to her and Kates's home. 

She quickly went upstairs and went to Emily's room. She sat on the chair near her desk and dialed Kates's number. 

Ring~ ring ~

Lara realized that Kate won't answer the call from an unknown number. Such a shame, since it was the quickest option for them to meet. Lara had to think of a plan.

The first thing that came to her mind was Emily's university and grades.  Fortunately, this girl was also in the business class, just like her and Kate a long time ago. Lara had to just review the materials and pass all tests. She'll quickly be out of college since Emily was in her last year.

In just a few days Lara turned her body owner's looks upside down. The girl now looked really elegant in delicate clothes, with dark hair and simple makeup.  She was ready to go to Emily's college for the first time.

 After entraining the university hall she got surrounded by gossip around her. 

" Who is this? Is it a new student or maybe a teacher? " 

" Omg! She looks so hot and elegant! I hope she's in my apartment!"

 People haven't realized that the girl in front of them is Emily Casey. A rude end noisy girl that many hated and feared because of her family background.

"Emily, is this you?"

 She saw a boy running in her direction. She passed him. He looked stunned. 

"Are you ignoring me? You can't do that I'm your boyfriend"

" Oh, a boyfriend. Even more, reason to not meet him" 

She thought and didn't stop until she reached the classroom. Lara tried to recall where Emily sat before. It was useless of course because Emily never attended this class. She thought that this university was stupid and useless even though it was top-tier. She could go there since her parents sponsored the school. No one would kick her out for fear of losing her family's big donations. 

Lara looked around searching for a place to seat. Then she spotted a perfect spot and walked to it. Next to her sat a blond-haired girl with blue eyes. She looked quite elegant in a past knee-dark blue dress, hairpins in her hair, and a brown bag. Her looks fitted Lara's tastes perfectly.

 "Hi, my name is La - Emily. " 

She bit her tongue forgetting that she knew someone else. 

" I' m in my fourth year. What's your name? "

"Oh, hi! My name is Eve!"

 She smiled softly. 

" I don't really recall seeing you before even though it's our last year, well maybe more like a little over two months? Did you get transferred here? I know I wouldn't miss someone with such good taste in clothes." 

Lara giggled. It's good she replaced her whole wardrobe before going to college. That way she easily gained a new friend. She opened her mouth to say something when she heard someone calling her name. She turned back and saw two girls chewing their gums. They were in horrible clothes with bright hair and nails. They didn't have a taste and it showed a lot. Lara recognized them while shuffling through Emily's memory. 

" Hi, Sandy and Lily. Can we talk later? I'm busy right now." 

She asked with politeness but the girls didn't care about that and loudly screamed in her ear.

" OMG!! It's really you. We almost didn't recognize you behind all that boring clothes!! What did you do to yourself? ''

Their high pitch almost broke Lara's eardrums. She sighed. 

" I just wanted to have a change in my life. It started to get boring. So I'm sorry but I won't be seeing you again. Bye " 

Lara ended the conversation sweetly smiling at stunned girls and turned back to Eve. She saw her chuckling at what she just said. Was it too much? She wanted to ask her that but the teacher just walked in and started the lecture. Everyone went to their sits and started listening to what the professor was saying.
