"Hey guys!" Feyintola happily chirps walking towards the boys at the entrance of the gigantic, blue three storey building belonging to the Adebayo's. Jeremy sends her a wave while Hassan and Inioluwa open their hands for a hug.
"Just hug him first. At least the matured person should forgo some things." Hassan says putting on a smirk.
"Really?" Inioluwa asks raising up an eyebrow. "Na you sabi o." He says and hugs Feyintola. She gives a short laugh and proceeds to hug Hassan afterwards. She hits Jeremy on the head and he winces in pain.
"See this one o."
"What did I do now?" He asks taking his attention away from the phone and directing it to her.
"Who are you chatting with?"
"My brother. He wants to know when I'll be leaving."
"We should leave before seven. Abi?" Feyintola suggests.
"Seven is okay. We're late already." Hassan answers accessing her. "This child is beautiful o. Someone I gave birth to yesterday abi when?" He asks in mock surprise wiping an imaginary tear from his eye.
The trio erupts in laughter and Feyintola attempts to smack his head before he hurriedly hides behind Inioluwa.
"You guys look great in white actually." She returns the compliment looking from Jeremy dressed in a white turtle neck top, white trousers and black Nike shoes to Inioluwa putting on the same only adding a white sling bag to his, then to Hassan donning a black round neck top, white shirt unbuttoned and white pants with black Addidas sneakers with his black round eye glasses as usual.
"I know right." Jeremy replies puffing up his chest earning a glare from her.
"Thanks mi lady." Inioluwa answers putting on a smile. Hassan then comes out and twirls his waist.
"Babyish boy."
"Why were you guys staying outside sef?" She asks them as they make their way to the door with Jeremy taking the lead.
"We were waiting for you. We didn't want you to get here and start looking around like a lost puppy." He replies her as they enter the large living room. Feyintola looks around scanning the setting with the couches pushed backwards to the door side arranged in a circular order, different mixed lights and a disc jockey manning the centre of the room and different people scattered about the room.
They walk up to the dining room table and meet some of their classmates.
"Evening children." Jeremy greets as they settle down.
"See this child o. Imagine." One of the boys reply slapping hands with Jeremy, Inioluwa and Hassan respectively. He send a wave to Feyintola who smiles at him in reply.
"Where's the celebrant?" Feyintola asks accessing the gift box in her left palm.
"Still dressing I think. She came down the other time to look for you though. When did you guys become that close?" A short robust looking fair girl putting on a baby pink flair knee length gown and black heels asks sipping an orange juice.
"Close ke? We're not even friends. It's just that my Mom baked her cake and she's best friends with her Mom. There's nothing going on jare." Feyintola assures them before a voice comes up over the noise and they all turn their attention to the owner. Gold tiara with sparkling stones, gold puff balls dangling earrings and a golden choker are her adornment accessories. "Thanks so much Feyintola. I really do love you." She gushes and holds on to her arm as the latter scrunches her nose and nods in reply.
Back on the table, Hassan sends a hiss to the front.
"Since when did this one start?" He sulks.
"You actually want to claim that you don't know this is Mrs Adams' doing?" Inioluwa asks smiling a little.
"I can see her fingers all over here. It's fine though, I know my child is not leaving." He assures himself downing a glass of milk.
