"So that's it girls. Thanks so much for making me proud. You all might not know but since the first match, I have been very proud of you all and I boast of you everywhere most especially on this ground." Coach Donald appreciates the girls as they each hold on to a pair of customized black socks and black headbands.
"Coach sef be doing appreciation speech." Feyintola comments making everyone laugh heartily.
"Thanks so much guys. Don't worry ehn, if you guys could have taken down there skilled teams at the goals 5:1, 6:3 and 4:0, you can do it as well tomorrow. Just have enough points to beat the other three teams and that's it. There's nothing wrong if you come back home with the bronze cup tomorrow."
"What happened to the gold cup? We don't want bronze o. It's either gold or nothing." Alive, the second striker counters his opinions.
"Yes o. Bronze bitibawo?" Ope seconds.
"I was thinking the same. It's gold we're taking guys. Put your mind to it and it's done." Ireti, another girl speaks up.
Coach Donald stares at them all clearly bewildered. "Wow, you guys are aiming for the gold cup..... That's a whole lot."
"Exactly why we are aiming for it. They must feel us o, even if we're participating for the first time." Feyintola says laying emphasis on the gold.
"Yes o." Others chorus.
Coach Donald then nods in approval.
"Okay then. If you say. Whatever post you guys take though, I promise you a free meal tomorrow. Agreed?"
"Agreed o."
"Before nko."
"Yesssss."
"Agreed."
"Thanks coach."
The girls gush and chirp as they pick their gears and disperse. Feyintola slugs outside the girl and sees the boys moving towards her.
"Rash!" Jeremy calls out to her putting his hands up as if hailing her. She smiles before hitting his shoulder.
"Which one is Rash again. I thought we agreed that no names o." She whines holding on to Inioluwa's arm.
"You people cannot even say Feyintola bring your bag." She complains looking at the three of them.
"Of course I would be extra lucky and honored to carry Rash's bag. That's like the biggest honor ever. Your bag please, ma'am." Jeremy jokes putting his hands out with his head bowed.
"Wahala." Hassan chips in laughing a little.
"How do you feel?" He asks looking at her.
"Worn out." She replies still holding on to Inioluwa's arm.
"Pele dear."
"I almost forgot o. Aunt Tola told me to give you." Jeremy says stretching a big red colored lunch pack to her.
"She said she would be coming home late too." He says as she refuses to collect it.
"Hold it. How did you see her though?"
"I went to see my brother."
"Why are they together?" Inioluwa asks curiously.
"They have a project together. Turns out they're the representatives chosen by their hospitals. So they sha gave them one apartment for overnight duties. With other colleagues sha, the place is crowded sef. I don't like it." He complains the lunch pack now slinged over his shoulder.
"What's your own business with liking it. Are you the one they created it for? Aproko!" Hassan chides him.
"Wahala. My joy is Sha that he is with someone he knows and can relate with. If not, I would just tell him to come back home."
"For the first time, let's agree on something. Do you love the DATOLA ship? Cos' it's definitely sailing." Hassan shouts doing a little twirl making Feyintola smack him on the head.
"Jisos! Feyintola where did you get the energy to hit him like that?" Inioluwa asks in surprise.
"That statement gave me strength." She says sending him a toothed grin.
"Vampire!" Jeremy says making fun of her front teeth. She suddenly jerks and turns to him as he starts to run immediately as if given prior information of her action. That's chapter 32 family 💃💃.
