The Confession

Avi's POV

"I love you"

Finally I said it. The girl I have loved since winning The Sing Off knows I love her. And she loves me back. Her face was all red and her eyes puffy from crying. Mascara all over her eyes and her hair in a messy bun but she still looked perfect. We looked at each other, confused and unsure of what to do so I kissed her. Man I've been longing to do that for so long. We had barely touched but she pulled away and looked to the ground as if she was scared.

"What's wrong?" I asked her, while my hand rested on her jawline and fingers ran through her hair.

"Avi. You have no idea how long I have wanted to do that."

She looked up at me like she was going to cry again. I thought she would.

Scott moved the door open slightly and popped his head round. I assumed that because we had been quiet he was making sure everything was okay or just being nosy.

Avi seemed confused that Scott was so intrigued, but I explained the conversation we had more in depth and then he understood.

"Avi?"

"Yeah."

"Will you sleep in here tonight? I really need the company."

"Of course."

I went back to my room to grab some clothes for tomorrow, pyjamas for tonight and to tell Kevin that I wasn't going to be there. I never said anything to him about where I was going to be but I reckon he's guessed.

I got back to Kirsties room and she was sitting on her bed with her knees up at her chin and her head resting on them. She was wearing a simple oversized hoodie and pyjama shorts. 'She's so perfect' I thought as I walked to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Once I was ready I walked over to the cupboard to get a blanket.

"What are you doing?" Kirstie asked confused.

"Getting a blanket."

"What for?"

"To sleep on the couch." I told her confused as to why she was asking.

"You can sleep on the bed if you want! It's a double. There is room!"

I walked towards the bed and crawled in. Kirstie climbed under the covers and I wrapped my arms around her waist. Perfect.
