"Baby? Lilith!"
"It's still early. Let's go back to sleep."
"Eh bakit mo ako ginising?"
"You were crying in your sleep earlier. I got worried."
My lips parted as I try to remember my dream. "Right! I dreamt about you!"
Kali let out a soft giggle at nag inarte.
"It's more like a nightmare, gaga. You were a demon."
She dramatically gasped.
"Okay, okay. You must be scared of your dream. Don't worry, I'm the purest angel in real life," malambing na saad nito tiyaka ako muling niyakap.
"Love, it wasn't scary," I said as I remember the dream vividly. "It was sad. You disappeared."
Her face softens as she looks at me. "Dreams are the opposite of what will happen in real life, right? That means I will never leave you in real life."
I nodded and smiled. "But it was really sad. It also felt so real."
"What happened?"
I told her the details I remember. She was just listening until the sun came up.
"You cursed me to always find who my heart seeks for every life I have." Tinignan ko ito at tinaasan ng kilay. "No wonder why we're married."
She laughed and gave me a peck on my lips. "I'd be glad to know we loved each other since our last lives, baby."
