The trail led to what seemed to be a lookout but it was extremely long.
"That's a whole five hour hike!" I screamed out looking at the sign which seemed to humour Elliot.
"We legit were just at the mountains yesterday come on" he rolled his eyes before walking ahead of me.
"Yeah but I wasn't trying to kill you, I was trying to cheer you up" she groaned in agony as if she was injured.
"Come on" I stretched forth my hand which she took causing my heart to beat rapidly.
"I promise it will feel like an hour" I smiled as she sighed in defeat.
~~~
"You are such a liar" she huffed out before her knees gave out making her land on the ground with a thud.
"Come on, it wasn't that bad" I said finding it funny how defeated she was.
Sweat formed on the back of her shirt as laid down letting the cook breeze swim around her.
"One hour? Or ten cause you must be dumb" she moaned in pain massaging her ankles as I laughed.
"Maybe if somebody didn't want to have a thirty minute break every ten minutes than it would of been faster" I teased as she narrowed her eyes in anger at me.
"Believe it or not Elliot, we are not all athletes" she replied wiping the beads of her forehead.
"Okay well we are here so let's just go" I pulled her up back on her feet as she groaned falling back down.
"Come on Rosie" I begged as she shook her head.
"I literally can't feel my feet and I'm tired" she said almost frantic.
"It's just up this small hill and you will see the surprise" she looked at my hand before closing her eyes.
"I'm too tired" she whined as I rolled my eyes.
"Okay fine get on my back" her eyes opened almost lighting up as she nodded.
Standing up I turned around as she wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Wow, thought you couldn't stand" she slapped my shoulder playfully as I gestured her to jump.
"You know most girls would be shy to do this on a date" I said walking up the small slope as I held her thighs tightly to prevent her from falling.
"They haven't felt the exhaustion I am feeling right now" she laughed as I almost reached the spot.
"Plus this seems to be an interesting kind of date, don't you think?" she asked looking down from the side of my face as I grew flustered.
"Right" she leaned her head on my shoulder and I could hear her small uneven breaths.
Reaching the top she jumped off me before running towards the big tree that was home to colourful flowers.
Underneath the tree was a picnic table that was already covered with a sheet and a basket held it down.
Surprisingly it wasn't windy and the chance of someone taking it or animals finding it was rare.
This part of the hike was pretty much useless for animals because this side was pretty much dead. Most of our town didn't even know this trail existed so it all worked in my favour.
"You did this?" she asked running off to the swing tired that I had found years ago
"Yeah" I replied walking towards her as she looked around.
"It's so pretty" she admired but I couldn't help stare at the beauty nature didn't touch.
Rosalyn.
"Let's eat yeah?" I pointed towards the table as she sat right next too me.
She didn't even think about sitting across me but right next too me.
"Ooo you made it" she laughed pulling out the pasta in the contained with some curly fries.
"Something tells me I will be seeing a-lot of this" she said without even knowing how heavy the words she held.
"Let's eat" I said pulling out a plastic plate while just digging into the food.
The food was delicious as we just sat there allowing the warm food to enter our stomachs.
"So how have you been?" she asked poking around her curly fries obviously trying to initiate the conversation.
"I've been good, how about you?" I asked.
"I have been doing good just a few things been off" she said making a face of what look to be worry.
"Something the matter?" I asked as she snapped out of her trance before facing me.
"Do you believe in visions or dreams?" she asked as I froze.
"I mean if I see a unicorn it would be hard to make it real when I wake up" I said as she laughed but it was fake and almost awkward.
Trying to cover it up I questioned again.
"Do you?" I asked her.
She seemed to hesitate before letting her thoughts go.
"I've been having these strange dreams almost seems like memories of myself but I can't quite picture them correctly" she said while throwing a few fries in her mouth.
"Well what do you see?" I said as she looked at me giving me the raw emotion she was feeling.
"There is a guy always in my dream and I think we are together or something but I can never see his face or his voice is hard to hear" she spoke as I held her hand for comfort.
"Have you talked to anybody about these dreams?" She nodded slowly before sighing.
"I told Henry but he called me crazy in the nicest way" clenching my fist at the sound of that douche bags name.
"Well I think you should allow yourself to dream them and see what happens?" I advised as she pouted.
"You believe me?" she spoke almost in disbelief.
"I've never taken you as a liar" she was lost in thought before she hugged me out of nowhere.
I tense up before realising that it was Rosie and relaxed into her touch.
"I knew you would" I could feel her smiling in my shoulder.
"So how about we start of this date with a few truth or dares?" I asked as she pulled back laughing.
