The antique store was fairly new as I had passed it many times.
"Mama do we have too?" Jay groaned while I ushered him to follow me.
"Let's just go look" he grunted before following in my lead.
Entering the store was going through a dimension into a different era as we greeted the cashier.
"Hello welcome to Viennas Vinyls, just let me know if you need any help!" the young cashier was a young girl.
Her beautiful black curls shined almost brighter than her honey coloured eyes.
Her mocha coloured skin was almost blinding from the sunlight that hit.
No doubt she was beautiful but she seemed to have catch Jaydens attention as he eyed her a couple of times.
"Thank you sweetheart" she smiled returning back to her book as Jayden walked away to an aisle to look at records.
Walking around there were many old things that even though they were broken it was untouched by modern technology.
Running my fingertips through the old furniture, I picked up dust as I rubbed them together letting it fall to the ground.
Making it to the end of the aisle I saw the piano that was placed there in all its glory.
The keys were shining as I walked towards it playing the melody that always use to fill my ears.
The melody would never leave my mind or heart even if I wanted too.
My fingers were had memorised the chords before my mind could comprehend that I was playing them softly.
"That is a beautiful song" the young cashier whose name stood out in gold.
Aaliyah.
"Thank you, an old friend taught me" my finger stopped playing the sweet melody that use to calm me whenever I faced chaos.
~~~
"Okay place your right hand on this one and play it at the same time" pressing down the sweet sound of a chord played.
"I did it" clapping excitedly he smiled applauding my first step.
"That was pretty baby" he said kissing the side of my head as I played the chord over again.
"Can you play it again please" I pouted as he hugged me from behind.
"Darling, that would be the seventh time I have played it" he chuckled as she leaned into his touch.
"One more wouldn't hurt you" she bounced back as he gave in.
Reaching out to the keys, he played the soft melody as I closed my eyes.
"You should really add lyrics too it" I suggested.
Grinning he moved back letting me watch him.
"What if I told you that I did?"surprising me was his favourite thing to do especially since I loved them.
"Let me sit down first" he spoke as I stood up to move aside.
"Nope, you belong here" pulling me to his lap I landed as he held me against him.
"Did you really write something?" I questioned as he started playing the familiar tune.
" My lucky star in the midnight sky,
You always seem to shine so bright.My happy love, you make me smile.
I felt your love in ever world.So if goodbye seems to meet us nigh,
Close your eyes and love me twice.For once is short and I know Ill cry.
Because twice is just for you and I.My shining star in the morning sky,
You twinkle like the butterflies.That fill me high that I can fly,
So love me when I cannot try.Because loving you has all my might,
That when we meet, its almost hard that
Goodbye seems out of sight.So if goodbye seems to meet us nigh,
Close your eyes and love me twice.For once is short and I know Ill cry.
Because twice is just for you and I" he finished with a few keys as I admired him.How could this guy be so perfect and he was all mine.
I must of been staring too long as he waited for me to snap out of my trance.
"So did you like it?" he asked as I leaned on to his shoulder.
"You are literally so perfect" his cheeks painted a bit of pink.
" I think every mirror admires you just as much" he complimented as I hugged him.
"That was so beautiful to listen too and your voice is so heavenly" he laughed before wrapping his arms around me.
"I am sure an angel is familiar with that sound then" nudging him I pulled back as my legs dangled.
~~~
"Mama?" Shaking the memories I watch Jayden sitting next too me.
"Yes?" I replied.
"Can you teach me that song?" he asked as I nodded.
"Of course baby" he focused on my hands while repeating me.
My son was truly his fathers som except his skin complexion which was a good mix.
Although I missed my dear Elliot. Jayden was his exact replica in personality and looks.
"Where did you learn this song from?" he asked as I fiddled with the key.
"Your father use to play these melody all the time when you were a baby and when I was pregnant" he was satisfied but a frown replaced it.
"I miss him" he said once more as I smiled towards him.
"Till the nigh comes again" I repeated as I taught Jay the rest.
