Third person pov
One would think that dating a Detective would be rather peaceful yet slightly difficult. Being a detective means less time spent with your loved one as you'd be too busy trying to solve a case that could take weeks or even months to figure out- that is, dependent on your expertise in detective work. Being a detective isn't so easy. You're practically gambling with your life. People could hunt you down for being in their business, knowing that you are trying to catch them & out you to the world, practically ruining your little business. Especially if that case involves gangs, mafias & other horrible criminals or terrorists.
Having a detective as your lover may result in a difficult life. You yourself may be targeted if your lover does not tread carefully. You'd most definitely miss them and even become touch starved or slowly start to lose love and attention from your lover.
But y/n has a rather...interesting love life with their detective boyfriend. Outsiders would view it as abusive and toxic if y/n were to tell them what happens behind closed doors. Naoto Tachibana, a fellow detective that is looked up upon despite his young age. Even the senior detectives admire the younger's skills and determination. Naoto has solved quite a number of cases at a short span of a few weeks when his seniors would take up about a month to do so. He was respected, admired but also, he had some handful of jealous colleagues- both young and old.
-The past-
Naoto and y/n met back when they were in college. Y/n was the first to talk to Naoto- to which it had been a rather difficult task as he usually would shut down the conversation or cut them short, giving excuses that they have elsewhere to be. Little did y/n know, Naoto had taken a liking to them since they first met back in high school- more like first encountered as Naoto had been picked on by other students as he was rather closed off and always buried himself in books. Naoto admired y/n from then on. Though, that admiration slowly started to take a dark twist. The admiration he had felt for y/n slowly inked into something much darker and into a dangerous territory. Obsession. Time skip to college, Naoto distanced himself from y/n as he realized how his obsession for you was not a healthy one. He was scared that he'd become...unrecognizable. He didn't want to lose you. Yet, he craved for you. So, so badly, it honestly is eating him alive that he feels his sanity depleting. His obsession got worse, to the point that he would stalk you and ensured your safety from a distance. Any male or female who dared approached you, he had them taken care of.
Time skip to the time where everything changed,
Naoto had just ended his work. Looking at the time, he noticed that it was also the time when you ended your work shift at the nearby flower shop. He really thought that it was fate that you ended up taking a part-time job at the flower shop that was only 3 blocks away from the Police headquarters. He smiled. It was time to execute his little plan. He had told you before you went to work, to wait for him. You waited for quite a while, which made you start to worry. Thinking that he had forgotten, you frowned slightly as you started to walk back home. That was until you felt someone pull you aside, with a cloth around your mouth. You panicked at the sudden event that is happening to you. You were getting kidnapped- drugged. You tried to fight back but alas, the drug had taken over your body and the last thing you heard was a familiar male voice whispering into your ear,
